March 3 rankings are out.
We gained 16 votes and now ranked #28 but only a few votes from top 25.
RPI we should be between 27-30
Mid Major poll comes out Wednesday and we should probably be 3rd only trailing Gonzaga and Chattanooga.
Another strong week, and beating Akron may move us up into top 25.

Middle Tennessee State might be ahead of us as well, but we'll see.
Agreed on being ranked with two more wins. Some of the major conferences will be having their tournaments this weekend, so some of these teams that are just barely in front of us that are 3rd, 4th, 5th in their conferences are going to pick up losses.
That Akron game though is scary. Kest has that team playing extremely well right now.

BG is 30th in the RPI.
I wish there was a KenPom equivalent for women's rankings as an alternative gauge.
(FWIW, Central Michigan is #31.)

I just looked up last year's tournament...the team with the lowest RPI not to make the field was Duquesne at 36. Following them was San Diego State at 45 and Toledo at 46.
Toledo last year was 28-3, virtually the same record as us, but their SOS was 222, ours now is 150. Big difference there.
I say as long as we stay around 30-ish, we're in regardless of what happens in Cleveland. Have to get past Miami and Akron first though!

I'd tend to concur...but not in the MAC. Sadly, it just doesn't happen.
