As of today BG is not even on the bubble. They are the 5th team out. Unfortunately another NIT bid. What even stinks even more is UM, Indiana and OSU will also be in the NIT forcing us to probably go play at their house instead of the Stroh.

This website has BG as an #11 seed. Still a few sites give us hope.

Real Time RPI lists BG at #31. Women's Basketball State has BG at #36. The difference is WBBSt has the SOS 20 spots lower. Both are > 100.
Sagarin puts the Falcons at #51.
They fell 10 spots to #40 in the Massey Ratings.

This feels like 2009, when BG lost to Ball State. That game was in the finals, but BG's RPI was also in the mid-40s at that time.

Toledo last year SOS was 150 and RPI 33. They only had 3 losses, we have 4 losses. If we do get in I strongly believe it's because we snuck in the Top 25.

Monday we'll know. We have done everything the past committees have asked Mid-Majors to do to get in the tournament.

Much will depend upon other league results and how many "big girl" league teams are put in. Four of us have been discussing this since the end of BG's game.

We're not in the room so don't know what the discussion will be.

With Akron winning as a #3 in the league it may or may not help. If BSU had pulled it out as #5, I'd say WNIT.

Either way we play on. We have a long history with those who run the WNIT just don't want to talk with them.

I think Kingston has lobbied for BG with those on the committee which contains several Mid-Major reps.

Whatever four letter tourney we're in, I'll try my best to be there.

How 'bout you?

I agree that an NCAA bid is not very likely. However, I would be shocked if we did not get a first-round home game in the WNIT. We've had very good crowds by WNIT standards the last few times we've played in that tournament, and I think they'll give us at least one home game. As for Indiana, U-M, etc.; they don't really seem to seed the WNIT by geography any more - we played SMU in the first round last year and VCU the year before. Hoping for NCAA, but banking on at the very least a home WNIT game.

(Also, I could be wrong, but I think OSU ended up with a record below .500 - can they still get into the WNIT with that record?)
