Cole's sister Amber Magner, CSU-Monterey Bay B-Ball Coach

Post by UK Peregrine »

Maybe I'm in right field and I'm sure most of you know this, but I didn't know that Cole's sister was the coach at CSU-Monterey Bay. I ran across this article today and it talks about the Magner family and Amber's career at U. of New Orleans and current coaching career. A pretty informative and quick read. Here's the Magner family exerpt.

Magner's competitive nature is in her genes. Her father, Randy Magner, is a high school football coaching legend in Alaska. Both she and her sister, Leah, played NCAA Division I college basketball -- Amber at New Orleans, Leah at Iowa. Her brother, Cole, was a star senior wide receiver at Bowling Green this season -- getting a lot of air time last week in the Falcons' win in the GMAC Bowl -- and her youngest brother, Rhett, was an all-state quarterback in Alaska who is heading to Bowling Green next fall.

Four kids, four Division I athletes. Wow! Sister Leah is an assistant at Monterey Bay.

Love that Rhett is coming here, too!

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan
