KATE ACHTER BOBBLEHEAD NIGHT
Wednesday's Buffalo game is Kate Achter Bobblehead Night, with the first 500 fans through the Stroh Center doors receiving a miniaturized version of one of the greatest players in BGSU history.
Achter helped the Falcons to an overall record of 108-23 during her four years (2004-05 to 2007-08), and guided the Brown and Orange to four MAC regular-season titles, three MAC Tournament crowns and four-straight national postseason appearances.
She ranks fifth in scoring at BGSU, with 1,580 career points, and is the Falcons' all-time leader in assists, with 688. Achter is the only player in school history with over 1,000 points and 600 assists in her career.
Currently, she is the associate head coach on the women's basketball staff at St. Bonaventure University.

And through a revised graduate transfer proviso in the NCAA rulebook, it was uncovered that Achter has another year of eligibility and will be re-joining the Falcons for the 2015-2016 season to lead them back to glory! (waking up from dream...)

Gutsy game way better than when they played in Buffalo. Kate's bobblehead is great. Family there but she was coaching.
If they win on Saturday Super, if not I'll be wherever they go Monday
if Monday's their last game, I'll give them a standing O at the banquet.
W's and L's isn't this season. Guts, determination and fighting like Falcons till the final buzzers is.
7-2 before all the injuries, Jazz is done except for a few minutes senior day.
Others playing positions never played In their careers til now.
Some playing hurt most of season. Erica F. has her feet under her and pushed some people around tonight... said she wouldn't let them be physical like the first game.
Give a listen to Jennifer and Deb's post game comments from the Buffalo game. It will give you insight into how they see this game and season.
The mind set is there but the body is about out of gas. I've seen all the MAC games in person.
I'll take the fight, know the skill and determination is there. All have learned valuable lessons this season. next will be different.

Casey McDowell is a great Falcon but I have to disagree with the remarks made during last evening's game broadcast about being "envious" of Toledo's fan support. The BG women's basketball fan base takes a backseat to no one. They are loud, loyal and plentiful in number. The team is 2-15 in the conference and they still come out to cheer and support the team. Few other fan bases in the country would do that. If anything other schools should be envious of BG and the outstanding support they show for the women's basketball program.

Great effort by the Falcons last night, but came up a little short. Buffalo looked somewhat stymied as to how to handle the 2-3 zone defense. Loesing never showed up for Buffalo until the middle of the second half, which I kind of expected her to step it up sooner or later. She's a tough player. I agree that Erica Fullenkamp was a factor in the paint last night, and I applaud her physicality against Buffalo's bigs. Obviously, the officials didn't belive Erica's ferocious play underneath was subtle enough, since they were blowing the whistle every time she turned around. Great postgame comments by Roos and Hoekstra. Deb is a class act all the way around, and is setting the standard for our young players for work ethic and effort. We had a lot of very good looks at the basket last night, but I also noticed we passed up a lot of open shots as well, and at times, I don't think the girls knew how wide open they were. All our kids are great shooters, but I know they only have a split second to decide whether to pass or shoot. As they continue to grow, I know that those decisions will become more automatic for them. I could see that this team appeared more confident last night, and we all hope this will carry over into the Akron game, and give the Zips more than they expected. Falcons, we'll see you Saturday. Go get'em!!!

she may have been referring to the support the Toledo men received the last couple or years?! They outdrew BG's men about 5-1...
