Down double digits early. Malone shooting all nets plus good movement. BG a lot of dribbling and poor shot selection.

Down 10 at half... Frankly look lost on offense and weak on defense. Other than that OK. :(

A loss here would be the perfect cap to 2016. Maybe BG will get serious again and get rid of some of the pom pom waving athletic administration too.

Pathetic. The starting guards 2-18.

They are shooting with ZERO confidence. I think this is clearly the result of revolving door substitutions and bad coaching. The sad part is that there aren't very many bright spots to this lineup. BG drubbed by 78-65.

I believe these players could win the MAC. I also am convinced the coaching staff will keep them closer to last in the MAC. The players don't seem to have any sense of direction. We have one on one fast break opportunities. But we pull up and wait to take a bad shot. We roll the ball down the court to save time... only to take 20 seconds to take a bad shot. Fortunately Jane Uecker, our 6'3" freshman was able to make 2 threes. I think our guards can shoot. But they have to stop passing up good shots. I also think if we had better plays to drive to the basket, it would open up the outside shooting. But often I am left to wonder if we even have set plays to run.

For the most part I like the players effort and ability. The coaches on the other hand...

It's more than just players and coaches. Clearly a change needs to be made in both instances. However, it starts at the top with all of BG athletics. They hide behind the lack of funds when things go bad, then hop on Twitter to boast at any sign of life in any program. Both basketball programs have softened schedules beyond belief, and both are headed toward bottom 3 finishes in the league, possibly dead last. When will someone in BG athletics re-establish some standards?

I don't think it is BG "athletics" but the BGSU administration to include the Board of Trustees, President, etc. If we are going to be in the MAC, and I think we should, we need to have a athletic budget, that is at LEAST in the middle of the pack (probably higher, with hockey) and not last among conference schools.

I do think men's basketball is on the way up, and will prove the point that improved budgets, turn in to better results, in the near future.
The amount of $$$$ the non-revenue coaches have to raise on their own for the program to simply exist or remain somewhat competitive is absolutely ridiculous. Things like travel, uniforms, and equipment that should be covered by the athletic department budget. Money raised should be used to "enhance" the program and no to pay for basic needs to exist.

I agree. However, BG athletics loses big time in it's current setup. These people come to BG looking at is as a stepping stone job, where BG doesn't/can't rid themselves of those people, while they network for other positions. Why couldn't BG clean house after Kingston bailed? He brought in his people, what are they doing for BG until they find a better job? Football stunk. Both basketball programs finished dead last. Both on pace to be poor again. How do these people get a free pass? No money?
