BG vs Kent
BG vs Kent
BG is really getting screwed by the refs in this game.
Re: BG vs Kent
BG after being down 14 points pulls even and then Kent scores with 1 second left for the win, 80-78
Santoro 34 points.
The refs screwed BG. Kent shot 16 more foul shots. BG committed 32 fouls. 4 players fouled out early in the 4th. 2 more players had 4 fouls. Those refs need to be looked at.

I'm having a problem with Sidearm stats. I get nothing on individual stats.....WTF
Re: BG vs Kent
I watched the game online, and the fouls that the BGSU post players were getting whistled for were actually fouls. I'm sure by now that all MAC coaches know that the Falcons' defense in the paint is practically non-existent, so they attack the vulnerabilities of their opponents. That's what smart coaches do. Praises to Santoro for her career-high points total, but the Falcons' final two possessions, Carly committed a charging foul, then caught the inbounds pass with 2.2 seconds left, and dribbled out the clock without attempting a shot. I cringe every time Tunstall tries to take the ball to the basket, because she either gets blocked or she just throws the ball at the rim on a prayer. Our guards are much better "finishers" on layups than our post players! How sad is that?! I really believe that we should look to take open shots early on in the shot clock, because if we wait too long, we have too much time to self-destruct otherwise. Our ladies need to learn how to drive to the hole without bowling over the defense. We need to effectively penetrate without looking like bulls in a china shop. Is there ANY coach in this coaching staff that can teach our bigs to become effective defenders in the paint without getting whistled for a foul every time?! I still believe Cecil needs to play more, although she too, is vulnerable to foul trouble. Siefker and Tunstall need to sit longer. The Falcons need to be commended for playing their opponents tough in recent games, however they cannot play well enough to take home a win. When they are in close games, it seems they always find a way to hand the game over to their opponent on a silver platter. It doesn't appear that the Falcons are doing anything differently, mainly because the result is continuing to be the same. Please Coach Roos, show us something different!
