Outscored 20-7 in the 3rd and 24-14 in the 4th. Another 20 (21) point drubbing. 74-53

Toledo beats Akron and is tied with Kent at 8-5. Kent owns tie breaker for beating UT. So as of today it would be #6 Toledo vs #11 BG.

PATHETIC! 21 points in 20 minutes. When we had halves instead of quarters BG would easily but up 40 pts in 20 minutes. Now we barely get 20.

Coach Roos led this team into self-destruct mode in the second half, especially by her over-substituting. It seemed as though she had two or three players swapping out every thirty seconds or so. How on earth can a team develop any type of flow in the game? Every one of our post players know nothing about defending the paint, aside from whacking the opposing offense across the arm, or body-ramming them. It's no wonder all of our bigs are in foul trouble all the time, as fouling is the only way to defend them! Also, what is going on with all the shot-clock violations, air-balls, and everybody passing up wide open shots? That's stupid basketball at this level. Caterrion Thompson was the only BG player who was not afraid to take the open shot. Curt Miller commanded excellence, he expected it, and he got it. Coach Roos does NOT command excellence, she doesn't expect it, and she'll never get it! In the second half, our players looked confused, tired, and helpless! They have no drive, no desire, no energy, and no coaching. I'm really frustrated to continually watch this D1 college team play like a bunch of high school JV girls. Coach Roos and her staff have lost their way, they've lost this team, and their losing their fans. We've gone from the top of the heap to the cellar in a free fall, without spending any time in the middle of the pack! You can't go any lower than the bottom, which is where we're at. It's definitely time to clean house, and do so IMMEDIATELY!!!

All our opponents have to do is review the Toledo and Western games. If you drive into the paint, BG will crumble. Our players are too slow and not strong enough to take the charge or defend the drive. I liked the idea of making the opponent take the two mentioned players. How many times can a 5'3" or is it 5'4" player drive into the paint and expect to score?

The headline in tomorrow's paper will be Coach Roo's saying that we won the first half!!! Last week we won the second half - this week the first half !!!!
When in the heck are we EVER going to win a game???? They should be paying us to sit through this fiasco!!!!! ](*,)

The best part of the whole evening for the fans was seeing Lindsey Goldsberry again on "Bobblehead Night", in her honor, watching the videos, and hearing her speak at halftime. She was an elite player, who played with everything within her, every minute she was on the floor. I would challenge Andrea Cecil to make herself worthy of wearing number "3" on her jersey, and watching every film she can on how Deborah Hoekstra and Lindsey Goldsberry played while wearing number "3" on their backs. I really believe she's talented enough, and athletic enough to carry that torch, but I don't know if she has the heart and the fire. I know she's only a freshman, but perhaps she needs to take it upon herself to step up her game and lead this team, as opposed to following her team's lead and playing at the extreme low level we've been seeing for the last three seasons. Andrea Cecil, you are a very talented player. Please work hard on your own game, improve immensely each season, and lead your team. Under no circumstances do you rely on your coaches to do it for you, and encourage your teammates to work on their own development, as well. That is the only way you ladies will get better. You ladies need to watch your films with much intensity, and really see what your fans are seeing. Get your fundamentals in order, and you will look much less like the high school girls JV team that you resemble now. We are still pulling for you, Falcons, but you ladies, as players, should never get comfortable enough to accept these types of results as the norm! GO FALCONS!!!!

The Goldsberry bobblehead would have been our best defender if Roos had played her

I started at BGSU in 1964. I have had season tickets to football and men's basketball every consecutive year since 1978. I bought women's season's tickets every year as soon as they started selling them. The women's basketball game Wednesday night against Western Michigan was one of the three worst games in my over 50 years of watching BGSU sports. This coach and her staff have nose-dived this once great program into oblivion. Let me count the ways this team is pathetic.
1. Passing
2. Shooting
3. Ball handling
4. One-on-One Defense
5. Rebounding
6. Team Defense
7. Hustle
There has been a complete failure in recruiting--not one of BG's players would start on any other MAC team (except maybe Eastern).
This coach was Coach of the Year in 2013-14 with Kurt's players. Since then, less than double digit wins nearly every year (last year was 10).
There is almost no player development; some players have actually gotten worse since they got here.
The new Athletic Director needs to make a decision now.

Roos basically complimented WMU coach on how his team attacked our players in foul trouble. Nice to see she knows coaching when she sees it. Still think part of problem is a weak asst coaching staff, which also falls on her. I've tried to figure out what exactly the blonde asst. coach is doing by holding up a clip board during time outs.

At least when this season is over the AD will have so many people with open checkbooks ready to pay the buyout for her, at least that is what it seems from the comments on here...

He will also, by reading the comments, will have quite a few resumes to go through...
