Well that game was exciting!!!

BG has secured #10 seed for upcoming tournament and more than likely will face Buffalo. We beat the Bulls a few weeks ago. Can we do it again. Yeah I know that's funny.

We set a record today!!! A BGSU Women's record!!!!
Give Coach Roos a raise and an extension.

The Falcons struggled throughout the first half and couldn’t dig out of a deep hole as they finished the regular season 8-22 overall and 4-14 in the Mid-American Conference.

The 22 losses are a school record for Bowling Green.

PATHETIC! This senior class may have the distinction of being the losing-est class in BGSU women's basketball history. No motivation to start the game or in the first half--IT'S SENIOR DAY, for God's sake!!! Down 20 at halftime. These are all Roos recruits--a failure from any athletic perspective. I do acknowledge there were some good students, but very few if any athletes. Couple that with miserable coaching and you have the worst stretch of women's basketball in our history.
What a terrible year it has been as a Falcon fan. Embarrassing, historically terrible losses in football. Under-performing seniors on men's basketball. And a complete collapse of the women's basketball program. Mr. Athletic Director, you are making it very hard to remain a BGSU fan. Will you make the changes you need to make to give the fans and alumni some hope? I have been a season ticket holder in football and men's basketball since 1978, and a women's basketball season ticket holder as soon as they started to sell them. If there aren't some changes made, I know a lot of people who won't buy tickets next season.

I'm still waiting to hear back from our athletic director from the letter I sent him.

I'm just a poor fan so I can't pony up money to buy out the current coach. However :-) I did put the word into someone who has a meeting with Moose this month. Next year's recruits look fairly good, by they are High School students. If we can the coach, what happens to those commits? Today, even Carly Santoro looked unhappy. She took exactly 2 shots. Hello? The leading scorer takes 2 shots and the 5'3" player took like 9?

God, I hate this season. Oh yeah, I'll follow up in the Careerwatch thread about Roos' record.

Watching this game not only was painful, it made me MAD! Here's a list of the things I was seeing today that could drive any avid Falcon fan's BP through the roof. I was thoroughly disgusted, and Coach Roos needs to PUBLICLY take full, 100% responsibility for this team's failures!
1. ABSOLUTELY NO DEFENSE! WIDE OPEN, UNCONTESTED LAYUPS AND THREE POINTERS ALL GAME LONG!
2. ANEMIC TO NON-EXISTENT OFFENSE. OUR TOP TWO SCORERS (LAMBERT & SANTORO) HAD NO FIRE AND WERE INEFFECTIVE. I BELIEVE TUNSTALL LED THE FALCONS WITH 20 POINTS.
3. KONIECZKI TRYING TO DRIVE INTO THE LANE WITH THREE OR FOUR PLAYERS A FOOT TALLER THAN HERSELF, NOT MUCH GOOD HAPPENS WHEN SHE DRIVES TO THE BASKET!
4. OUR PLAYERS ARE WAY TO SLOW, ESPECIALLY ON DEFENSE. ALL OF THEM GET BEAT TO THE BASKET, AND ARE SLOW TO DEFEND THE THREE-BALL! THEIR ONLY METHOD OF DEFENSE IS TO FOUL..... MANY TIMES THEY GIVE THEM LAYUPS WITH A FOUL ON TOP OF IT! THEY ALL NEED TO BE RUNNING LOTS OF MULTI-DIRECTIONAL WIND SPRINTS! MANY TIMES THEY'RE EVEN TOO SLOW ON OFFENSE TO GET AWAY FROM THEIR DEFENDER!
5. SIEFKER'S INABILITY TO FINISH SHOTS INSIDE OF FIVE FEET. A PLAYER HER SIZE SHOULD BE SHOOTING AT LEAST 80-90% FROM INSIDE, BUT IF I GUESS SHE'S MAKING 35-40% OF HER INSIDE SHOTS, I'M PROBABLY BEING PRETTY GENEROUS!
6. THIS ENTIRE COACHING STAFF HAS NO CLUE WHAT TO DO TO MAKE THIS TEAM BETTER! THEY HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO MAKE INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS BETTER! GREAT COACHES MUST BE HARD ON THEIR PLAYERS IN ORDER TO GET EVERY OUNCE OF POTENTIAL OUT OF THEM. COACHES THAT ARE TOO NICE TO THEIR PLAYERS, AND DON'T PUSH THEM INTO EXCELLENCE, AND INSPIRE THEM TO PLAY WITH EVERYTHING WITHIN THEM, NEVER FINISH AT THE TOP. REMEMBER LOUIS ORR???.........
7. OUR PLAYERS CONTINUE TO PASS UP WIDE OPEN SHOTS EARLY IN THE SHOT CLOCK, LIKE THE BALL IS A HOT POTATO. THEY NEED TO TAKE A SERIOUS LESSON FROM FRESHMAN CATERRION THOMPSON, WHO IS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO SCORE AND NOT AFRAID TO SHOOT. ALSO, THOMPSON CAN SCORE FROM THREE, MID-RANGE, AND INSIDE. OUR COACHING STAFF NEEDS TO EITHER RECRUIT MULTI-DIMENSIONAL PLAYERS, OR ELSE TRAIN THEM TO BE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL! PROBLEM IS, THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TRAIN THEM!
8. WHEN ON EARTH ARE WE GOING TO STOP PLAYING LIKE A HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY TEAM, AND GRADUATE TO DIVISION 1 COLLEGE BALL?!! COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE D1 COLLEGE TEAMS WE PLAY (AND SOME D2), WE STINK!!!!!

Well, I think I've said enough, for starters! I had to vent a little bit there, but I'm just calling it like I see it! Is anyone else seeing anything differently?
Just curious...........

“The energy and momentum was on their side,” Roos admitted. “When we called timeouts, we didn’t have the juice on our bench to get stops and get scores.”

No juice???? Well that's on you coach!! You and your staff need to fire up these girls.
