Tipoff was at 10am this morning. I assume I may be the only one watching because of that.

The gym they are using is actually in their student rec center, as they are building a facility to be opened in 2019. The gym they are using now is a really small and intimate environment, with only a few rows of bleachers on each side of the court. It's elementary day, and the kids are really active in cheering this morning. Always cool to see kids getting to experience sporting events.

At the end of the first quarter, BG is up 20-8. Shooting and defending pretty well so far.

Halftime, BG is up 37-21.

Great first half by the ladies. Now finish strong!

At the end of 3, BG is up 41-38. Just 4 points in that quarter... not ideal.

Need to finish strong and gut this one out.

What an absolute collapse... we're heading to overtime, tied at 54.

Final in OT:

BGSU 64, Robert Morris 62.

We blew a 19 point lead from the middle of the 2nd quarter, but we ended up escaping with a W against an NCAA tournament team from last year, and we move to 3-0.

The ladies return home to the Stroh in their next game this Sunday, November 19 at 2:00pm against Canisius.

Roll Along!

No, mbenecke, you weren't the only one watching the game. Nice overtime win, but I was highly disappointed that we squandered a 19-point lead, and appalled at our second half free throw shooting. I'm sure we only made about half our foul shots in the second half. Hats off to Haley Puk for her awesome game, and to RMU for clawing their way back. However, we got lax in the second half and continued to shoot ourselves in the foot, in missed shots, poor free throw shooting, and turnovers. We're now 3-0 on the season, but we have to continue to improve, and be able to impose our will against the opposition. Congratulations, Falcons, on the win! Roll Along!!!

Interesting thing to note ... 3 wins, 3 different players leading team in scoring. Be nice if they can put something together , instead of one high scorer, one or two barely in double figures. But nice to see freshmen already contributing.

Got the win, which is the most important thing, but hate to see a 19 pt lead blown.

Sunday we host Canisius at the Stroh...looking to go 4-0. GO BG!
