Anyone know how this game came out?
Odd that there's no mention at all of this game being played tonight.

From following it on Twitter, it sounds like we didn't play our best game, but we still got the W. With that, we are sitting at 8-2. 8 wins matches our total from a season ago, and we are playing much better this year than last. We need to just keep it rolling!

Re: Ferries State
I was at the game, and no, the Falcons didn't play their best game, but persevered in the fourth quarter after surviving several surges by Ferris State. Ferris State is a very physical and scrappy team, and they actually applied full court pressure most of the game, which we handled respectably. In the first half, Ferris State was attacking the rim, and we did nothing to stop them. We had four players in double figures.... Cecil 26, Lambert 20, Puk 16, and Santoro 11. That was great to see! They had no answer for Andrea Cecil. She pretty much did as she pleased. I am still extremely disappointed with our post play on both ends of the floor. The word "ineffective" is an understatement. Cecil is our only bigger player that doesn't get pushed around by anyone, and she's a forward. Uecker is not physical enough, and needs to develop her inside body strength to be able to hold her own underneath. Maddie Cole has the strength, but not enough finesse to keep from getting blown for a foul every time she turns around. I remember once or twice during this game where Cecil got the defensive rebound, drove the full length of the floor, went right to the rim and laid it in. I adopted her as my favorite player because she hustles, she can shoot inside and out, she's a very good ball handler for her size, and most of all, she imposes HER will against the opposition. She is intimidated by no one! And last, but not least, she is probably the only player on the roster capable of filling the shoes of her jersey number "3" predecessors, Deborah Hoekstra and Lindsey Goldsberry. A good "grind out" win for the Falcons! Keep rolling along, Falcons!!!

Re: Ferries State
Completely agree, Cecil was impressive in her play against Ferris. Hopefully the other post players develop as the season goes. Ferris showed a lot of determination tonight and a willingness to out-hustle the competition.
