Let's see how the Falcons respond after the poor performance last time out. Toledo lost to a bad Kent team that BG beat.

Ugh!!! Here we go again. 1st media time out and already behind 16-5. I went ahead and count the number of times Bowling Green passes the ball within its possession. In the first 5 minutes we had the ball a nine possessions. In those nine possessions we had a total of 14 passes. That's not including passing the ball out of bounds. Basically we just dribble dribble dribble and have one or at most two passes before we fire up a brick. Toledo on the other hand also had 9 possessions, one of which was a steal and went Coast-to-Coast. On the other eight possessions they had a total of 43 passes. That's 5.5 passes of possession. They are moving the ball and getting shots and scoring. BG just dribbles and stands around. Gene Hackman in Hoosiers said 4 passes before you shoot. He definitely wouldn't approve of BG offense.

Went to pregame chalk talk. Coach said we were going to take away the “3” . I think we HELD them to about 15 threes!

You would think after Bravo Harriot made her first couple 3's we would start guarding her. Nope, we allowed her to make 7 uncontested 3 point shots. Plus Lambert dribbling for 15 seconds on nearly every possession and lots of turnovers, all spells another loss. Luckily we still have Akron to give us a chance at win #3.

It's an even bet if Lambert has the ball with less than 15 seconds, she's not going to give it up. She dribbles and everyone else stands around. Sure, she got 24 points today, because she held the ball 80% of the time. How many assists did she get? Two in 40 minutes and only credited with 2 turnovers.
'Rion seems to be trapped in a nightmare. Oh, maybe someone needs to get her the ball more often. And it was a nice touch to put Kennedy in with 8 seconds to play. She should have refused. Nobody wanted to cheer Lambert's "I hogged the ball and got 24 points" performance.
We sure stopped Toledo's 3-point shooting. That 11-24 has to be among the best Toledo has shot.

A point guard is to be an extension of the coach. Need I say more?
Our defense is bad. I think the reason Kennedy doesn’t get more time is because she struggles defensively always picking up lots of fouls when she is in.
Just would like to see a practice and what they do or teach. Or should I say lack of what they do or teach.

I agree, BGSUFan2017, about Kennedy getting more minutes, especially when Sydney is struggling. Williams has a lot of raw talent, and needs to get more minutes if she’s expected to improve. Who’s to say you can’t have Williams and Lambert on the floor at the same time? I tell you this....if Lambert would have dribbled around like that under Curt Miller, he would have had a cow, and would have yanked her off the floor in a heartbeat. Common sense would indicate that one dribbling point guard is much easier to defend than quick, crisp passes to four other players. Another thing that bothers me about our defense is that we slap them across the wrist AFTER they release the ball on layups, and almost always give up a three point play. Any time you contest a layup, the main goal should be to get a piece of the ball to change its course of direction, and to do so before it’s released....another fundamental we seem to be lacking. The players should also be required to shoot, and make, 50 free throws before they hit the showers after practice. (Especially Santoro). I’ll say it again.....THIS TEAM WILL NOT SUCCEED UNTIL WE MASTER THE FUNDAMENTALS! So if these coaches cannot, or will not, teach these players fundamentals, then ALL of them need to submit their resignations!

Unfortunately you can no longer have them shoot free throws like that at the end of practice. That would be considered extra practice time and you are only allowed certain amount of practice time. They would have to shower and change clothes and shoot the free throws on their own without coaches around. You can only practice under a coaches watch (HC, Asst or even Grad Student) 20 hours per week.
