What a great game all around. Nice to see Carin get some meaningful PT and lead the team to victory! She is a wonderful girl and desrves this opportunity.

Carin hit some big shots. Liz and Alli played well, as did Kate, Tene, and others. Casey hit a couple of big threes. She can shoot it. I wouldn't mind seeing Casey pull the trigger a little more. I really think this team has a legitimate shot at winning the MAC Tournament and getting to the postseason. Miami hit some big shots toward the end of the game and got themselves back in it, but we didn't panic. We were able to collect ourselves and put the game away with some timely defense, rebounding, and free throw shooting at the end. Miami had just been beaten at Buffalo by 19 in their last game, but I knew that was an aberration. They had some good shooters who got hot and brought them back after we had gone up 52-37. They had a 6'4" post, but she pretty much got handled by our post players. So much for all the statements on this forum about our "lack of height and lack of a post game." I think I'll take Liz and Alli over some of our opponents post players anyday. I like their moves and general tenaciousness. They both get after it and are good defenders and rebounders. Well, we've got a couple of big games Saturday and I cannot wait to get there to a packed & totally rockin' AA! I just hope the fans decide to go early and watch both games. It would be nice to see 2,000 or 3,000 there for the women's game! Just drink lots of water or gatorade to keep the pipes oiled so your voice can make it through both games (LOL)! Let's be LOUD!
