BG is now 11-5, 4-1 MAC. The Falcons played only their FOURTH home game of the year tonight, beating Miami 68-59.

Now, 11 games remain and 6 are home at AA. 3 of the next 4 are home games as well. :D :D :supz: BG could go on a big time tear! BG has won 8 of 9, with the only loss being that tough 51-48 setback to EMU a week ago.

TOGETHER WE ATTACK!! GO BG!~

Wow. I certainly didn't realize our scheduel would work out this well a month and a half ago! This is tear time, and I think this team is going to gain a lot of confidence in these final 11 games.

I really do think that the E. Michigan game was a total aberration for this team. Having been at that game, I can attest to just how weird it was that even the simplest of shots weren't falling -- for both teams! We certainly didn't get outplayed by any stretch of the imagination, EMU just got one more roll than we did.

God, isn't March gonna be fun?!?! :D

This team is playing pretty well right now. I would liked to have seen us have a little more of a killer instinct earlier tonight when we were up 52-37, but Miami had some good shooters that just got hot. I liked the way we collected ourselves and went on our own little run at the end of the game to put it away. I love our team. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season, most of all getting back to AA this Saturday for the DH ... two big games with Western Michigan and Toledo!

After I saw the thing about ESPN having us in the NCAA tourney I started to wonder why at first. That came out right after we lost to Eastern. I got looking at the rest of our schedule and Freak is right, we could easily go on a tear down the stretch! When the season started, I wasn't sure of the team and I don't think they were sure of themselves. Now it seems like everyone is coming together and I'm excited to see how things turn out!

The funny thing is the WBGU announcers were interviewing Assistant Coach Jennifer Roos after last night's game and Coach Roos was joking how "everyone wanted to kill Coach Miller for the brutal early schedule and all the road games."  Coach Miller wanted the team to learn to win no matter where the game was played. Coach Roos then stated it was a brilliant philosophy cuz this team never quits and plays hard until the final buzzer. The team learned if they could win on the road, they could win anywhere. It is working! :D

Don't get me wrong...I am very pumped for the Men's game vs the rockettes. But I am more pumped to see the women's game against WMU!
I love this team! Anyone gonna make it to Kent on 1/26?? I'll be there right around tipoff after leaving work at 6!

GO FALCONS!!! BEAT WMU!! Together We Attack.

BTW, I received a return email from Coach Miller and he stated Liz Honegger was playing last night on a injured leg suffered at UT? Those that were at AA....did it seem to bother Liz? She still put up solid numbers!

BEAT WMU!!!

I thought Liz looked a little winded a few times last night.

I also wanted to see us continue to build up that lead in the second half, but that one Miami girl (#14 I think) went on a three point binge. Nothing stopped her.

 I just wish the WBGU announcers would ask the hard questions to the assistants and get to the bottom of this free fries conspiracy!

liz seemed to be slowed a bit, but she still played well. it allowed kelly, jill, and amber some more time collectively off the bench.
i'm trying to figure out a way to make it to the kent game next week. i'm trying out w/ the indians to be an in park host on thursday, so i could just stay at home in the N.C. Wednesday night if i can manage to make it home. in any case, i'm pumped for wmu saturday. this is a FUN team to watch.

Mike ... Great That You Can Be At The Kent Game!

Michelle and I won't be able to make most of the weeknight away games, so you will have to cheer extra loud for us on that one. I can't wait to see you at the game this Saturday ... seems like a long time since we saw you at the hockey game! I think we go 2-0 this Saturday with victories in both games. I posted this on another thread, but I hope a lot of people try to make both games. It would be great to see a lot of people at the women's game. I think the men's team bounces back after two losses in a row and takes one from the Rockets. It will just be great to see a sellout at AA for the first time in a couple years (the last sellout I remember was actually that Michigan game in the 2001-2002 season ... I could be wrong there). AA is going to be rockin'!

Get Out Folks for the Ladies VS Western Mich. Sat. 3:00pm!!!

The attendance at the the Miami game was very dissapointing after just coming off a good win agianst our arch-rival UT. Not only that , but the "enthusiasm" was nearly non existent except for me and my fellow comrades where I was sitting and a few students on the sidelines. My gosh where were the students anyway? All you have to do is show your freakin' id card and you get in the game FREE! Come on students and Sideline Squad , your presence at these critical home games is greatly needed! :-\ And those of you who've boughten a UT ticket already can still get in the ladies game as well. Lets get a couple thousand in AA for these 11-5 lady falcons shall we?

GO BG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRUSH THE BRONCOS AND THE ROCKETTES!!!!!!!!!! :supz:

I'd like to see more fans get out and support the ladies! They really destroyed a good WMU team today (yesterday)! That game was never in doubt. The thing that impressed me was our in-your-face defense. They were rattled into a lot of turnovers. I was talking to a couple coaches after the game and that team was leading the MAC in scoring, averaging 75 per game, and we held them to 58. Their leading scorer was Moore (#33) and she only had 8 in the game. We made her work for those eight points, too! I am already looking forward to the next game! I wish we could make it to Kent for that Wednesday game. Freak, yell extra loud for Michelle and I!

Not to put a downfall on things but I do think they are a better team with Rost playing. She hasn't played since the 2nd game of the season though and they were still leading the league in scoring. They do have some depth but obviously it wasn't enough tonight!!!

WMU beat EMU last week? Man, WMU sure didn't look great against us at all , we shut them down! EMU is just stacked right now, I'm shocked that WMU just beat em'! The ladies need to just keep on pounding on these teams from here on out.

GO LADY FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CRUSH KENT STATE!!!!!!!!!!! :supz:
