Great win vs. Valpo

Surprised I’m the first to post about this, but the women started off with a strong win against Valpo, who finished in the top half of the MVC last season. True freshman Lexie Fleming led the way with 23 points in an otherwise balanced attack. I look for true improvement in year 3 under Fralick in a very strong MAC.

19 of 26 from the free throw line is solid, and they held Valpo to 35 less points than last year. 4 of the top 5 scorers were not seniors, so that shows the young talent on this roster.

For whatever it's worth, Valpo has now won back to back road games against Illinois and Purdue.

Great note. BG is @ Purdue next week. Hopefully they see the Valpo result and gain some confidence that it's a winnable game for them.
