vs. Toledo (1/30)

Our Falcons (12-3, 8-2 MAC) are hosting the hated Toledo Rockets (8-6, 4-6 MAC) inside the Stroh Center on Saturday, January 30 at high noon, 12:00pm. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

This is for a shot at the season sweep - BG won the first meeting 2 weeks ago at Savage Arena, 69-57. Since then, Toledo is 1-2, though they've had to play Buffalo and CMU, 2 of the better teams in the MAC, so you know they'll be hungry. Combine that with not wanting to get swept, and I'm sure they have all the motivation they need to come in here and give us their best shot.

MAC WBB standings, which look weird due to an uneven number of games played:

1. Kent State 4-0
2. Bowling Green 8-2
3. Buffalo 6-2
4. CMU 7-3
5. Ball State 5-3
6. Ohio 6-4
7. EMU 6-4
8. Northern Illinois 4-3
9. Toledo 4-6
10. Akron 1-7
11. WMU 1-8
12. Miami 0-10

Go Falcons - Beat Toledo!

Bothered a little bit about who we have played in the conference. Six of our wins are against the bottom 4 teams in the league. We have yet to play CMU, Ohio or Kent. One loss was to Buffalo although in a highly competitive game and the other to a generally mediocre N. Ill team. I guess I will wait until we actually play more of the top half of the league.

Considering they were picked to finish 11th in the conference, I don't care who the wins are coming against. 8 conference wins is still well above expectations and a sign that things are back on track.

Yeah definitely agree that based on expectations and how the previous seasons have gone that this season is a success.

Halftime at BG, Falcons lead 38-14. Nyla Hampton is insane...4 steals to go with her 6 points.

Wondering why we have UT announcers doing the game on ESPN+, when it’s a BG home game.

Always nice to sweep the bottle rockets! Parker led the team with 18 pts. 5 straight wins for BG.

First sweep of the Rockets since 2009.

Hope they enjoy the bus ride home. I’m sure it’ll be the longest 29 minutes on the bus they’ve ever experienced.

Wasn't Parker but Angela Perry. She and Glowniak combined for 26 from the Center Position.

It's nice to see BG women's basketball on the comeback trail.
