Following a heartbreaker in DeKalb, our Falcons (13-4, 9-3 MAC) will return home on Saturday, February 6 to take on the Ohio Bobcats (10-5, 8-4 MAC). The game is scheduled to begin at high noon, and it will be broadcast on ESPN+.

This is the first of 2 meetings with Ohio, who enters after knocking off first place Kent State on Wednesday night, 85-70. This will absolutely be a test for our program. How will this team respond to their first loss in 6 games? I'm very excited to find out.

We remain a real factor in the hunt for the regular season MAC title, and this is a great test against a team in the top half of the conference. We still have 2 battles with Kent State that are yet to be played, so it's important for us to win tough games like this to give ourselves a shot to win the MAC this year.

MAC WBB standings, which look weird due to an uneven number of games played:

1. Kent State 4-1
2. Bowling Green 9-3
3. Buffalo 7-3
4. Ball State 7-3
5. Northern Illinois 7-3
6. Ohio 8-4
7. CMU 8-4
8. EMU 6-4
9. Toledo 4-7
10. Akron 1-10
11. WMU 1-10
12. Miami 1-11

Go Falcons - Beat OU!

END OF THREE: BG leads 59-41.

After a bad third quarter last time out, BG turned it up coming out of the half to double their lead.

Bring it home, Falcons!

FINAL: BGSU 69, Ohio 53

Elissa Brett with 21 points (career high) and 10 rebounds.

Lexi Fleming is fantastic, but she only scored 6 today. And yet, we win by 16 - a team effort!

This win makes us 14-4 on the season and 10-3 in the MAC. This level of play in the MAC is fairly astonishing, simply because we won (starting in 2017) 4, 3, 2, and 3 games in MAC play each of the past 4 seasons (12 total). So for us to be winning at this level in conference play is just outstanding. Super excited about the progress this program has made.

Yes, big improvement from the last few seasons. Feels more like the complete teams that existed while Miller was here and shortly after. Another strong defensive effort from the whole team and great to see those ball handling skills be put to use.

Very good defensively. Ohio came in with a 10-5 record, early wins over Notre Dame and Liberty as well as a bunch of close losses. They also were averaging 80 PPG and were held to 53 today.
