The BGSU basketball GOAT gets inducted into the bgsu hall of fame this Saturday. Truly was a blessing to see her and her teammates and the all star coaching staff during my undergrad. Thank you for all the memories! Especially that MAC tourney championship win against Toledo and WNIT home win against Syracuse. Special memories at Anderson.

An absolute no brainer....

I hope that the hatchet can be buried and Ali Mann can get the recognition she deserves

Agreed 100%. From an athletics accomplishments standpoint, Ali Mann is a no-brainer. I could be wrong, and I often am, but I was told that Ali got the votes when the committee met to choose the 2022 class, but President Rogers vetoed her selection. I can understand why some people might think she should not get in, but personally I think she should be inducted.

What’s the beef here? I don’t know the story.

She was forced to resign as an assistant coach because it was discovered that she was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a unnamed member of the program.

Seems petty...this far down the road...to continue to penalize her for it.

Pete Rose didn't bet on baseball
Oh wait, he didn't bet on his team
Oh, he didn't bet on his team to lose.
When they let Shoeless Joe Jackson, I'll be for Pete Rose.

Liz Honegger has a female partner, so does Kate Achter. Is it different for Ali Mann because she had a relationship with a BG player..I heard who, but that doesn't matter. How can Rodney or BGSU people punish people for sexual orientation? Does that ban Curt Miller, Jacki Clark, and a few others from recognition?

Just wondering.

I think it has FAR less to do with her sexual orientation than it does that she was on the coaching staff and had an inappropriate relationship with a current member of the team she was coaching. Just my 2 cents though.

I agree that it has less to do with presumed orientation and more to do with an unwillingness to forgive and forget and to do the right thing.
Knowing how this place operates, it would not shock me if she was blackballed out of fear of ruffling some donor's feathers...so to speak.

LP is the best FT shooter I've ever seen in my life, men or women. She was a joy to watch.

I believe she still holds the NCAA record for consecutive free throws at 70. Harder to find the current records, had to search for old PDFs to find them, sadly the NCAA continues its shameful treatment of the women’s game.
