Looked like we completely ran out of gas in the fourth and the offense was no where to be found.

Thankfully...we don't have the early game in Cleveland. We play EMU in game 3 on Weds. Ball State/Akron follows our game...if seedings hold, we'll have to beat the Cards again to get to the finals and the rubber match with Toledo

After watching the Falcons put the defensive clamps on the Rockets, and building a 17-point lead with a mediocre-at-best offense in the third quarter, it’s like the Falcons were trying to sit on the lead rather than putting the petal to the medal and building the lead. Once their offense totally stagnated, so did their defense. That is not characteristic of a championship team! It also appeared that Day and Tate were merely attempting bricks off the glass inside, instead of looking at the rim and finishing their layups as they’ve done all season. Brett played her heart out, while everyone else was tentative to shoot the ball. The Falcons should have put them away by 30+ points, but BG stopped trying to win and were content to try to not lose. Their wheels came off the proverbial apple cart, and that can’t happen in Cleveland if they hope to win it all. Hopefully they can shake off their shoddy play and return to BG basketball this week in Cleveland. GO FALCONS!!!
