On Monday, our Falcons (30-6) will host the Florida Gators (19-14) in a Great 8 matchup in the WNIT. The game will begin at 6:00pm and again be available for broadcast on ESPN3.

Just taking a look at Florida's roster, they are BIG. They have a 6'6" center and 6'4" forward. They get a lot of blocks and force a lot of turnovers, but they also turn it over a lot and have somehow been outrebounded on the season. They don't shoot the three nearly as much as BG, so I think a perimeter game is going to be the key to competing here, but it'll be a really tough one to pull out.

Hopefully we can get some rest and be healthy for that game. Does anyone know about Hampton's injury? Brett?

Would be surprised if Hampton is ready considering she was in a boot. Brett seems to be fine. I think she was more startled from being unexpectedly punched (rightfully so) than injured. I just hope her confidence/style of play isn't rattled. She frustrates the hell out of everyone who is against her.

I wouldn't look too much into the boot. Tate was in a boot for the Buffalo game but then came back 4 days later to play ball state, albeit clearly hobbling a bit.

Noticed that all of the players are one-by-one making their social media accounts private. Assuming this is at the request of the staff to stay focused on Monday.

I assume also with the punch situation. Probably a lot of people trying to ask questions and get statements since the story rightfully blew up

The NY Post used a photo of Elissa from her Instagram account in their story. It was a photo of her in a halter top wearing jeans that had those tears all down the front. Typical for that Murdoch-owned rag clearly trying to sexualize her. On Friday morning, she only had like 200 followers. She's got close to 2,000 now, so she likely made it private to stop the perverts and racial comments that were prevalent in Jordan Strack's twitter post on the incident.
People are assholes.

Not surprised that the NY Post is acting like garbage.

There have been nearly 600 student tickets claimed for Monday night. Should be an electric atmosphere at the Stroh!

Awesome showing by the students so far. Only 3 seats left in the middle 6 sections for reserved seating. The other three corner sections for chairback reserve also are full on the bottom half.
I'm sure there's some people that only buy tickets over the phone so hopefully that will get some more sales tomorrow. I'm not sure they will get a sellout but I think they can break 4000

I’m less optimistic about 4000 than you. As great as the last game looked on TV, attendance was still only 1800.
I would be thrilled if they could break 2500 on a Monday night on 3 days notice.

For anyone heading to the game tonight, be advised that there is construction going on on E Wooster right off I-75, so plan ahead because I am sure traffic will be rough.

They're adding a roundabout at Campbell Hill Road and Wooster at the entrance to the Doyt.
This should be a tremendous help come football season and next basketball season. Project is supposed to be done before the Tractor Pull/Students return weekend.
