29-16 Iowa after the first. Honestly, should be much closer. Some dumb turnovers and some missed opportunities on open looks. Caitlin Clark is on another level, of course.

We have had no defense and just chucking threes on offense. On Spectrum FS1. Channel 75 in BG.

Held them under 100. Basically Coach Fred played 7 the whole game including a lot of the time with 4 guards. This resulted in many of the layups of rebounds with the size difference. Need height in the future and more than one to compete at this level unless you can hit a ton of 3's which we did not. I think it would have been beneficial to play the bench after Clark departed for Iowa just for the experience and to lessen the minutes on a tired starting lineup.

They really had some good looks on those threes and just couldn’t knock them down. In the end, they were gassed against a much more talented team. A game like this will benefit them in the long run I think. Kept it respectable until about half way through the third quarter.

Saw some of it on TV while at lunch. Iowa is amazing. The passes they were routinely making were simply beautiful. They were taller, stronger, faster and never out of position.

They've been beating most teams by 30, 40, 50 points. We acquited ourselves well against a generational player and a great team.

Also, it's nice seeing Lexi in a much more modest knee brace, looking aggressive and healthy. She's probably our only player that would crack their rotation. And if she was 4 inches taller, she'd be at a p5 school instead. We are blessed to have her.

I was pleased with the effort. I've been watching nearly all the Iowa games for over a year now, and we competed pretty well. Not many teams hold Clark to 2-11 from 3. Clearly the game plan was to double her and bother her from three at the expense of her dropping dimes to the highly talented Iowa bigs.

That being said, their best big Hannah Stuelke, wasn't even playing!

All-in-all, I think it was a good lesson. Iowa is a just a machine.

Watched the game and Iowa could win it all in March...that team is loaded. We missed a lot of shots but man, tough to compete with that kind of talent. But for the MAC, we will be fine.

In response to Diemilkweed, we are very fortunate to have Lexi Fleming on the team. I remember other who played with similar fire, such as Kate Achter, Lindsey Goldsberry, and Deborah Hoestra, to name a few. However, Lexi, in my opinion, plays with more fervor, hussle, and passion than any of those I just mentioned. Coach Chmiel really needs to land some dominant post players, as our current corps of bigs are very inconsistent. Where is Erica Porter, lately? She’s had a couple of great 20-point games, and after that, it appears she left her game face in the locker room. Perhaps Clerkley needs to be starting again to light a fire under Porter. Kohler and Ellis show a lot of promise, but they’re young and still learning to play at this level. We are also fortunate to have Morgan Sharps and Amy Velasco, as they help the team click when they’re on the floor. After we’re done playing the 3 super-powers in December, we should be ready to take on the MAC with confidence!

Caitlin Clark is the now all time leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball history....an amazing player. May do for women's basketball what Bird and Magic did for the men's game.

Former Falcon Brett channels Jamirah Shutes and elbows Clark in the head.... :)
