BG trails Buffalo with about 5 left in the game.

BG falls 70-54. Besides a good performance from Porter that was a tough one to watch. Also back-to-back clunkers at the Stroh Center for Falcon shooting.

It's looking like BG is pretty much locked into the 4-5 matchup with Buffalo in the first round of the tournament barring something wild happening.

Not ideal to match up with someone that beat you twice in the regular season, but those seem like the card that we are going to be dealt. And of course, a win there likely means a semifinal matchup with Toledo.

One possession at a time, Falcons.

The 5 seed is probably where we belong given that we are 0-6 against the (current) 1-4 seeds, and 9-1 against 6-12 seeds.

However, Buffalo has a couple head-scratching losses that leave them tied with us, and with 1 more matchup vs Ball State remaining that could easily drop them below us if we hold serve vs WMU and EMU.

Hopefully we get that "head-scratching-loss" Buffalo team in Cleveland and not the one that has looked top-tier against us.

Toledo and Ball State are clearly in a league of their own this year, but we have solidified ourselves in that 2nd tier with KSU and Buffalo. Given that we lost 4 starters from last years team and down additional 5 players from this year's team, I'd call this season quite a success, and if we can get to Friday in Cleveland that would be the icing on the cake.

Looking like we’ll be the 5. Currently putting up a pretty putrid effort, down 11 at halftime at 6-22 Eastern Michigan.

Losing to the worst team in the MAC in the last regular season game is not a good sign for what’s to come this week in Cleveland, but we’re not finished until that final buzzer, so who knows? Regroup and beat Buffalo.

Not too worried about it. EMU’s senior day and for sure last game of the year, while BG’s opponent in the tourney was locked. This was a hard game to get up for and I’m sure they just wanted to get through it injury free.

I thought I heard on the ESPN+ broadcast that we didn't even scout EMU given that our tourney fate was sealed. Not sure if I heard it correctly or believe it, but Hope that extra attention to UB pays off!
