Wittenberg Exhibition

Post by elmrfudd »

A very impressive win in the Falcons’ home exhibition game with Wittenberg. Erica Porter dominated the paint, and the rest of the players all contributed immensely in the 102-47 win. Five players scoring in double figures, and all 13 players who played, scored at least two points. That leads to my question about the remaining two players, Lexi Fleming and Keiryn McGuff, who are coming back from season-ending knee injuries from last season. Neither of them suited up for the game today, which makes me wonder if they were being held in reserve for the regular season games, and allowing for more time to improve their conditioning, OR……whether they were nursing new injuries. Obviously, they were not needed on the floor to aid in the victory, so I’m really hoping and praying that they will be back in action sooner, rather than later. So, congratulations to the Falcons for a great team effort, and as the competition will continue to be tougher as the season progresses, today’s game should be a catalyst of confidence and unity for the entire team! GO FALCONS!!!

It still takes time to recover from their surgeries from last season. Both were injured well into last season.

According to Coach Chmiel speaking at a Kiwanis Club meeting in mid October, Fleming should be back around Thanksgiving and McGuff around Christmas
