That has the be the dumbest loss I’ve ever seen.

Damn...had a 48-40 lead and lost. What did Porter get called for? WMU shot 4 technical FT's when the game was tied 60-60 with 17 sec left.

Ugly way to lose that one. BG falls 63-60.

Porter lost her cool right at the end of the game unfortunately. BG still had a chance to tie it but couldn’t make either 3 point opportunity.

Need to move on from that one and get ready for this weekend.

She was called for a foul under the basket initially. The other player fell on top of her and she moved her legs to get her off of her and then was screaming and moving towards the other player but was intercepted by the ref.

Embarrassing loss! We blew too many timeouts, made a stupid decision with 17 seconds left, and the substitutions are still suspect. I heard that DVDM was not happy about that last call.

Nonetheless, Chmiel continues to find different ways to lose. I am telling everyone now that next year will be rough because he will have about 10 newcomers.

You expect more from a SR than to go ballistic like that at a key moment. But..the team often seems to be playing out of control so maybe that's just who we are

I blame the coaching as well. Chmiel doesn’t have what it takes to be a head coach. In-game, in-practice, recruiting, culture building. Everything it takes to be a head coach, he does not have. This program is slowly getting closer to the men’s team in terms of fans losing interest because of coaching. There’s no reason this team should have this record. It falls on the coaching.

Kohler will be the only returning starter next year. It’ll be an interesting year next year.

Why so worried about next year, how about not using the portal the last two years to surround Fleming and Velasco to win now?

I think the thinking about next year has begun because people have lost faith in this team becoming anything this season. Losing to a bad WMU team at home is super frustrating. And I think most have no faith in this team going up to Toledo and winning barring them playing absolutely out of their minds. Tough spot for this program to be in after all the success the previous few years.

These are exactly my thoughts though! You have a pretty solid senior trio of Fleming, Velasco, and Porter. What the team needed was a knockdown shooter and then an established 4. Gerken would be helping out right now and Fearne is starting to turn the corner. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Chmiel refused to use the portal besides some JUCO transfers that came because they were best friends.

A total waste of the gap to win in his first two years, which I have stated will be the best two years of his BG stint.

The frustration stems from the fact that many of the conference losses could have been avoided if the game was managed the right way. Blew the lead to Buffalo, blew the lead to WMU. Could have very easily beat Kent. We will look back on these games and wonder how we got an 8 seed in the tournament instead of a 4 seed.

I've heard from a pretty reliable source that he tried to use the portal and had a couple of P5 transfers willing to commit for a relatively small NIL amount and we couldn't come up with the dollars so they went elsewhere.
