Women go down to Athens and beat the Slobcats in OT. Three in a row...5 out of 6...been very critical of the team and coaches, but they're closing out strong

Heartbreaker for 33.

Happy to see them winning! Roll that streak into March and let's see what happens in Cleveland.

What's the deal with Kohler?
She was included in Senior Day on March 7.
She still has a year of eligibility left. Is she coming back?

On the official BG athletic site there is an interview with her and Jaedyn Cook where she is asked the question "How did it feel knowing this was your last game at the Stroh" She seemed uncomfortable answering it but it did seem she was going elsewhere. She included that she was graduating this spring as well. I believe an exodus will follow.

I checked with my trusty source who said they would be surprised if more than 4 players from this year team are on the team next year

I’ve heard similar things. Sounding like a total reset. Feel like the coach should be going with them, then.

Is this because they just don't like the staff, or is it a resources issue, or a mixture of both? I remember hearing from someone a couple of years ago that Chmiel was begging for just a few NIL dollars and he wasn't getting them. I'm not stumping for the staff because I have not be impressed overall (although I do think they did a nice job of getting things better throughout the season), but just curious about the true root of the exodus.

From what I heard staff (only chmeel) and not using money right. I know I gave quite a bit for NIL. My same source said there is money being used they said most of it “80 percent” is going to Woods, Blad Fitspatric, Cook, and Brazil gal. From what I heard NIL pot is 150-200 thousand

So in other words 80% of the WBB portion of NIL is going to 4 players that have combined for 18 ppg. That in itself sounds like a fireable offense or at least a malfeasance of the NIL money

Kohler did indeed hit the portal, less than 24 hours after the season ended.

If it is final and it probably is Kohler finished with 1222 career total points good for 23rd in BG WBB scoring. However if she had a true senior year that only matched this years 463 points she would have become the 4th all time women's scorer only behind Prochaska, Motycka, and Allie Mann. Likely that alone would eventually put her in the BG Hall of Fame but won't happen now.

Well...unlike the three players you listed, she didn't have a HOF coach
