Falcons rout Huskies....80-44!!

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Carin Horne leads BG with 18 points and Liz Honegger added 13. This is just what the doctor ordered after last week's Kent fiasco.

BG now 13-6, 6-2 MAC. C everyone Saturday for the "Orange Out" at AA vs Ohio U.

Sakima Smith off the bench at the end of the game and nailed 3 3-pointers, it was amazing. Whit had a great 3-point attempt but unfornately it went everywhere around the basket but in. We came out kind of slow being down by as much as 9 to start the game but once we started clicking we looked like a team on a mission.

I was glad to see Thorburn come out and hit a 3, too! I know she had some rough games early one but she's still a good shooter. Last year she was starting some games, now she's hardly playing...it's sad to see.

Maybe Coach Miller is just resting her and saving her for the Gund, she will be our explosive weapon.

Sakima Smith hit 3 3pointers in last home game against NIU? You gotta be kidding me. Did she just happen to get a hold of whatever Honneger and Carin Horne drink before the game? After seeing Sakima play as little as she does , she hasn't shown much of any talent whatsoever of all the games I've seen her play in. So to hear about her hitting 3 3's is shocking. But alas I don't think we'll be seeing her hitting many more after this. It was probabaly an anomoly since we've seeing her miss multible bunny layups in the past. I don't see Coach Miller wanting her to take alot of 3's at will in most games. This sounded like a game where everybody couldn't help but get in on the scoring party in every way possible.

I'm looking forward to us lambasting Ohio tomorrow , so all Anderson Animals and students get out tommorrow at 2 pm at Anderson for the ladies.

Hey falconboy, why don't you rip into Sakima a little bit more. I'm sure she doesn't put any effort into being a member of this team and deserves all of the ribbing you can give her.

Can't you just congratulate her on a great game instead of berating her talent? Thats just assinine and completely uncalled for. You should be ashamed of yourself.

What a sorry attempt by NIU to try to break a press. BG's press is not a tough press to break. It is simply to try to get a steal now and then and to create a fast tempo. NIU barely got it across half court for awhile. Good job by the coaches getting their tempo established.

I believe OU likes to play uptempo as well. We should be in for a good game tomorrow.
