Mark Ehlen Tirade?

I was in a bar Saturday night and it looked like the UT coach was having a tirade about something in the post-game interview which I could not hear.
Did anyone happen to catch this? If so, what was he complaining about?
Thanks!!

They showed this on 13 ABC Saturday night. He said something like,
"BG is the best, or is going to be the best team in the conference and when they win this thing...if they go to the tournament, I know that WE ARE RIGHT THERE TOO."
The part in caps is where he slammed the table with his fist and started yelling.
I just don't think he remembered that Toledo sucks, and we beat him twice.

We may have beaten him twice, but we had to come from 4 down in the closing moments both times...to win by 3 in OT, and by 1 Sat.
He sounds like a frustrated man....I like frustrating the rockette coaches.
The problem for Ehlen? He must not realize BG is gonna be THEE MAC team for the next 4 years. Better get used to seeing BG ahead of the rockettes. This is only the beginning! WHOO HOO!
BEAT NIU! 2004-5 MAC CHAMPS!!!
Now, if we can figure out a way to beat EMU!

Crazy Ehlen

The dude is seeing his teams' status as the conference heavyweight evaporate before his eyes and is becoming unhinged as a result. I love it!

And with BG being the team moving ahead of his, it has to be killing him!

all things that i've heard say that ehlen is a good guy and a good coach. that being said, he's been outrecruited the past few years, and, outcoached.

sure, you can go to canada and get a girl that's 6-5 and not that good of an athlete, or, you can go stay in america and get girls 5-7 inches shorter that can ball. i'll take the latter option, as it seems to be working weel for us.
the problem with ehlen's statement is this: if his team is "right there," then, why couldn't they seal the deal these last four times, three of which when the game could have been won by toledo, including twice at their place? that's a difference between a good team, and a really good or great team; being able to finish, and to preserve wins and 4 point leads in the waning moments of a game. i don't see this trend changing in the near future as long as coaches miller, roos, eckert and poole keep doing the job that they're doing.

Excellent point Jaco....Miller and Co. are teaching this team how to finish games and get the W's. If UT is faltering down the stretch, whose fault is that?
GO FALCONS!!! MAC CHAMPS 2004-5!!!!

Definitely! I think it's only a matter of time before he bolts for another job. Coach Miller just signed a contract extention so we'll be a steady thorn in their side for a long time.

A friend of ours in Toledo, nice guy but has the misfortune of living in Toledo, told Ed and I that Ehlen chased the officials off the court after one of their losses because he was mad at the way they officiated the game. Talk about a coach that is losing it!!

Actually, he may have a case on this one with how the MAC officials have performed this year for both men's and women's b-ball.

I agree that the refs really sucked at times this year but that still doesn't excuse chasing them off the court. You have to rise about that and keep your composure.
