After an incredible season for the Falcons don't you think Achter deserves the MAC Freshman of the Year Award?

Yeah, I agree there. I've talked to him at some away games and he seems like a cool guy. On top of that, he isn't annoyingjacojdm wrote:not to throw ice water on you, but i just thought i'd let you know that kate has a serious boyfriend, and has for a few years now. he's a class act, too.
not really, she's just one of the first female basketball players I've been impressed with.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:Dude - you have a HUGE crush on her, don't you?
that's my point, anytime i DO watch women's hoops, the players always suck.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:You must not follow much women's basketball then.
Well maybe your just jealous because they can beat you in a 1 on 1 game. Do you watch any big time women games. TOSU averaged 13,000 for every game. Women can play just as good as men. I may take our women over our men right now.golfertk14 wrote:that's my point, anytime i DO watch women's hoops, the players always suck.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:You must not follow much women's basketball then.
No, the players don't suck, otherwise there would be no need for the game. It's at a slower pace than men's... There's a difference between women being bad at basketball and the games taking different forms.golfertk14 wrote:that's my point, anytime i DO watch women's hoops, the players always suck.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:You must not follow much women's basketball then.
Women college basketball players do not suck. The game is a bit different than the men. Women's games are a slower pace but the passing, dribbling and fundamentals are just as good, if not better, than the men. the women aren't looking to make ESPN Sportscenter with a thunder dunk or fancy passing.golfertk14 wrote:that's my point, anytime i DO watch women's hoops, the players always suck.SaxyIrishTenor wrote:You must not follow much women's basketball then.
Not yet, at least!Dayons_Den wrote:. . . . but she's no Jacki Motycka.
I know that a lot of people tend to "pick on you" on this site, but you bring a lot of this on yourself with rather inane statements... To say you NEVER seen a good women's Bball team means you've never seen some of the teams that Mike (Freak) has already mentioned. UCONN, for example, with Diana Taurasi, an outstanding player.... U.Tenn, coached by Pat Summit, one of the all time winnng coaches in basketball, men's or women's, are probably the TWO most visible teams year in and year out...But if you'd been to the Gund last year and witnessed the endings to the 1st 2 tournament games that BG's women had played, I don't think you'd say these things.... Think before you post, and you won't get "dissed" as much.golfertk14 wrote:hey i'll agree that those teams are good, but just in my own viewing expirences I've never seen a really good women's bb team. That's why I've been so impressed with the Lady Falcons this year.
Glad to see the older generation is keeping up with the current lingo so well.Class of 61 wrote:. Think before you post, and you won't get "dissed" as much.
