OH v. FL

Post by Lord_Byron »

Does this bother anyone other than me?

Why does our official website refer to Miami as the one in Florida and Miami Ohio as the one we all love to hate?

It should be the other way around. Our schedules should list Miami. When we happen to play the other, it should say Miami (FL) .

I agree it should be like that but then again I dislike them both so I guess it doesn't bother me :D

IMHO, I think we should refer to the state in both instances - Miami (OH) and Miami (FL). That puts them on equal footing.

Miami (OH) is actually "Miami University" and Miami (FL) is the "University of Miami".

I've noticed more sites (CFN.com for example) are using "Miami University" for the Redhawks.

Besides, MU in Oxford was a university when Miami (FL) was still a swamp!
