BG Versus Tourny Teams

I just got done going over our schedule this year. We have played two teams that are already in the tournament. Ohio State is in with an at large, and St. Francis won gets an automatic berth. New Mexico is playing right now and winning their game. We went 1-2 in those games, and all were on the road. St. Francis is going to the dance for the second year in a row, and we beat them 80-74. We lost big to OSU and NM, but like we were at their place. Of our losses, the other losses came to Lehigh and Duquesne out of conference. Lehigh was a close one 77-74. They finished the year 19-10. Duquesne is the only bad loss that we have all year. This is a remarkable job done by our ladies this year. We avenged our MAC losses in the tournament, so everything is great there. Depending on who we get in the first round, I think that there is no doubt we can compete next week. This team has put together without question one of the best seasons ever in BG history with the schedule they had, especially out of conference. Congratulations to the players and staff on making this year something that will be talked about for years. And no matter what happens it the tournament, this team is primed to be back in this position for in the years to come.

Good stuff, Houston. Yes we lost big to OSU and New Mexico but that was early in the year before Achter "The Doctor" started running the show. OSU is a monster team.

We lost to Duquesne 68-63.

Just think how freakin good this team is gonna get....

23-7? I'll take that anyday, anytime.

Congrats to Coach Miller and his staff...the HARDEST working staff in the MAC, and this team...they are a pure joy to watch and follow. They are the epitome of "T E A M".

Now, let's do some damage in the NCAA's.
