Vrabel pitched both games of the DH as the Falcons won 4-1 and 8-0 (in 6 innings). Allison Vallas got her 2nd career HR to start off the 2nd game. I couldn't believe Vrabel pitched both games but she looked great out there as always. The Falcons are now 22-21 overall, 8-5 in the MAC! It was a great day for softball and even better since they won! Next game is tomorrow at 1pm!!!

After the spring game my dad and I walked over to the softball field and watched the first three innings of the second game. I didn't realize she had pitched the first game as well....that is amazing....Eastern didn't even have a base a base runner while I was there. The team really looked like they were in another league in comp to EMU.

The Freaks and Class of 61 were able to catch the last couple innings of game 2. Really cool to see most of the women's hoops team at the game.
BG lost the final game today, 2-0, and are now 22-22, 8-6 MAC. Falcons are in Kalamazoo to face WMU Wed for a DH, then at Marshall Friday for a non-conf. game. BG ends the week at Ohio for a DH on Saturday.
GO BEEG!!

Why in the world would you have someone pitch a DH?

Cause Liz is golden on the mound! The Falcons lost today 2-0 off some errors and Vrabel got some more innings. With the busy week they are about to have again, ya wonder how some of these pitchers can do it though!! GO BEEG!

I am pretty darn sure I saw you guys come in just before we left the game...I almost said something, but then I didn't for some reason.

My sister once had to throw a DH, she couldn't lift her arm the next day.

Although it's a little more unusual in college, pitchers in High School pitch DHs all the time. In fact, I've seen pitchers that pitch nearly every game of the season, particularly if they are overpowering and the backup is below average.

Please do next time! I always enjoy meeting other BG fans. And with BG at Kent in Nov for football, we'll lead an army into Dix Stadium and take it over.

Just like 2002....
I'll catch up with you some time, Falconking. BTW, what part of Cleveland do you live? I live in Green, which is about 5-10 minutes south of Akron.

Unfortunatly, this leads to ripping a rotator cuff. My sister played against an amazing pitcher in high school who threw every game her junior/senior year. She got to college and during two-a-days tore her cuff from over use.
