Certain members of the BGSU Dance Team (which IS a women's sport) are spinning off their own squad separate from the current dance team.

Their first performance is said to be this fall at some pep rally or something.

What have other's heard?

Nothing, but it doesn't surprise me considering how their season ended last year.

Let's just hope the quality and difficulty of the routines improve.

I too knew you'd have a picture. But to prove my point, check out the hip angles on the three girls. (You will all enjoy that, I promise.) They're all different. All of them. Seriously.

OK... if you're pointing out consistency faults... have fun with this one.

That being said, I'm with Metz... ;-)

All I have to say...

Pick a height attainable by all, and above all TECHNIQUE! What is this crap about bending you back so it looks like your kicking higher? KEEP THAT BACK STRAIGHT! Good lord, my sister's dance teachers would have a BIRD if they saw that picture.(BTW, one was a Go-go girl on Cincinnati TV in the 60's/70's or something, and the other is a professional dancer, was on TV with Regis and Kelly, and many other things, they routinely win National competitions with their dances, so I have heard enough to know... even did tap dance. )

Saxy, I'll cry with you.... well not cry, just stand on the side and yell corrections. You know, you should whip them into shape, I have the faith in Saxy!

Girl 2nd from the foreground needs to be off the team, for among MANY technique deficiencies SHE FORGETS TO POINT HER FEET! PUSH THROUGH THAT ARCH WILL YA?

OH, and my sis took a class with the Rockettes, and they said in a kickline, you aren't ACTUALLY supposed to rely on the person next to you for support, it is a show thing. KICK THE SAME HEIGHT AT LEAST! Oh and Golfer, the next time you win money for doing something for 2 minutes tell me. Oh, and tapping is really fun and is actually hard, contrary to popular belief. Savian Glover would kick your butt!(I personally like Fred Astaire. Do you even KNOW who he is?)

I took dance lessons for 14 years and my teachers would have sent me tot he bar and made me stretch and practice my kicks until I got them high enough. Oh, wait a minute, they did.

OH THANKS, GRANT! That picture put my choreographer wife into the hospital.

She was repeatedly muttering "point your [expletive] toes!"

I'm sending you the bill.

Having a dance team attempt a kick line without proper training should be illegal.
And one more thing: It's okay to have half-shirts, but when you're using your ab muscles like in a kick routine, you're gonna have some extra stuff hanging below your belt. Get yourself a regular shirt and a skirt and you'll be just fine.

Gads.

Thanks for saying what I've been thinking about the not-so-little tummy problem.
