what consistency. another mid to high 60s for us and mid 50s for the opposition. good defensive effort by the lady falcons. coach roos is keeping the D strong.

i hate when people try and draw these types of comparisons, but....we should give UK a pretty good run for their money. detroit was up on the cats 36-35 at the half, although uk ended up winning by about 10. what i'm getting at is we have a great shot of spoiling another host's tournament. this keeps on shaping up to be a very, very special season for the lady falcons.

edit: according to espn.com, we're in first place in the MAC west!

Another great road win. I was exactly 3 points off for both scores on my prediction but I got the margin right :)

the key was a 21-3 run that covered the first seven plus minutes of the second half. after losing the lead late in the first, the ladies turned it up and pulled away early. soe good ft shootig by kate down the stretch, too.

Great to see the womens team get another win. It is very exciting to see them living up to their hype and hope they contiunue with their success. With the ladies coming to UK I am quite excited and have been following UK's women more this year then usual. (OK, BG's women too) Anyways there are quite a few similarities between these two teams. I am very pleased to see that BG played well against a tall FIU team. The one area in which BG doesn't really stack up with UK is in height. UK as a girl, Eliiot, who is 6'6" and a blocking machine. In fact earlier this week UK tied an NCAA record with 19 blocks. UK and BG have had 3 common opponents.
UK-FIU 71-56 UK-Detroit 74-65 UK-IUPUI 81-52
BG-FIU 67-56 BG-Detroit 78-67 BG-IUPUI 66-55

I think this indicates a very good game coming up. The defense of these two teams appears to be about equal, and the shooting %'s are nearly the same. UK is off for about a week, then they will face #3 LSU in Lexington. Regardless of either team being undeafeted on 1/2/06 it will be a very good game.

A very gutsy win for BG! Whoa...7-0. Every game has been won by double digit margins. FIU is tough as nails at their arena.

BG is averaging about 55 pts a game defensively. Balanced scoring and great defense.
