Just to let everyone know, the WBGU webcast is back up and running and should work fine, as long as you have quicktime. There are also two feeds, for low and high bandwidths, so keep that in mind. ALL remaining women's games including next week's tourney at St. Joe's are scheduled to be broadcast, for the men's games on WBGU and both webcast links, go to
www.bgrso.org We apologize for the technical difficulties and appreciate all the local listeners who have stuck it out in BG while the webcast was down.

NY-BG-Fan,
WBGU web feed is still terrible for me on the low band width. I'm not sure why this is, it works fine for me at work, though that is high bandwidth. I also don't know why this is, but I can listen to any other site just fine at home with my dial up connection. I have quicktime so I have not a clue what the deal is. If you have any control, is there any way to go back to using itunes or winmedia.
For those who can't get wbgu women, you can get a free feed from oakland,

Thanks for the Oakland link PGY. I had the same issue you did this evening with the WBGU feed. It's still not working on my dial-up.

Question....
Now that I have the DSL, should I have fewer problems accessing games on the net? The Freak isn't the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree when it comes to computer stuff. Do I click on high bandwidth?
Thanks in advance....GO FALCONS!

As long as you have quicktime, or download it, I don't think you will have problems with wbgu with dsl. you will listen through the high bandwidth option.

Sorry, the decision to go to quicktime was made by the WBGU brass, the sports department is separate and we don't have control over it. You can certainly e-mail them your concerns if you go to
www.wbgufm.com. I guess the low bandwidth just isn't very good, the high bandwidth is working perfectly for every machine ive tested it on...I haven't tried it on dial up. And yes..if you have DSL high bandwidth is the way to go. I certainly wish the webcast was the same as last year as well....It's been very frusturating since it was changed to quicktime.

Right, the high and low bandwidth works just fine at work, but when I come home to my antiquated dial-up I can't get it to work. The other link on Oakland's website used Windows Media Player and it worked just fine. It must be an issue with Quicktime and dial-up that is the problem and not WBGU's website itself.
