43-38 UD with 406 remaining. let's go falcons!
carin fouls out on a questionable charge....46-43 with a minute left.
48-44...couldn't get the shots to fall down the stretch. a good defensive battle.
don't forget, that 8-0 start is a school record. coaches miller, roos, poole and eckert have an awful lot of which to be proud. let's go falcons! beat iona!

I'll take an 8-1 start to any season! I think it's good for a loss early. There are freshmen on the team that have never went througha practice after a loss. This is just warm up for a total domination of the MAC. GO BG!!!!!

8-1 is a great start. I wish I could have listened to the game. Tomorrow will be a good game to see how they come back after a loss. Sounds like Iona played Saint Joseph's tough. Should be another good game tomorrow.

If theres one thing that will give us trouble, it's gonna be a good zone team...
hopefully they step up and come home after a victory tomorrow

I've never understood why we don't hi-lo more against the zone. With Ali and Liz to go with shooters in the corners, I think that would probably get most teams out of a zone (if it isn't their primary D like it is for Delaware). Most times we end up settling for bad jumpers or turning it over against the zone. With the makeup of our team, opponents should be scared to zone us.
Oh well -- fantastic start to the season. Time to build momentum back up with a couple wins heading into MAC play and more home games. Let's hope the community and students come support this team once they come back home.
Most MAC teams should have a lot of problems with our activity on the defensive end. We played a horrendous offensive game and still had a chance at the end against a top 50 caliber team. That's good news. It would have been nice to keep the undefeated hype rolling a bit longer, but I couldn't be more happy with the way this team is playing to start the year.

No shame in losing to UD, who is now 8-1. Tough loss but I think this will only fuel the fire more for the ladies to get back at it tonight vs Iona.
Coach Miller was talking about how good UD's program has been lately. They are now 33-7 in their last 40 games. And it was anybody's game at the end. We just need to get back after it again tonight.
8-1? Mighty fine start!! GO BG!!!
