Eastern is now 5-0 in the West. The game with them at BG next Wed is going to be a great one

Absolutely. They are the other tier 1 time along with Kent and us. The crowd was a huge factor in us knocking them off at AA last year -- both coaches said so in the postgame quotes. We need to get an even better atmosphere this year to help the ladies out.
First things first though -- come out on Saturday and cheer for Liz's last 3 points to 1,000! There was a good crowd for Ali's milestone, now let's have an even better one this time around.

Now why did you have to go and post the OU score.
You know the Bobcat faithful doesn't give a lick about women's basketball.
You're just setting yourself up for a comment from bobkitty

Okay I had a big brain freeze. EMU beat us at AA last year. But the crowd was still awesome. We'll need even more if we want to get payback for last year.
Some quotes of interest from last year's EMU game:
BGSU SOPHOMORE FORWARD Ali Mann:
(On the atmosphere)
"Yeah, the atmosphere was great tonight ... tonight's crowd was amazing. They really got us fired up when we were making our runs. The crowd was going crazy, the fans were into it, and it was a great feeling. It really motivated us."
EASTERN MICHIGAN COACH SUZY MERCHANT (mmmmmmmm)
(On the atmosphere)
"It was hot in there. It was hot in there, it was loud in there ... I thought they had a really nice crowd. They're always right on top of you. Every time you come in here, it could be ten below (outside), and to me, it just feels like the intensity is so high in here. The fans are right on you, and they were loud, yelling 'defense' down the stretch. I think they got us out of rhythm, because (the players) couldn't hear what I was staying ... I thought their crowd certainly made a difference."
I want to see quotes like that from the opposing coach after EVERY game played at AA. Most of the ladies teams in the MAC are used to very small crowds at home and on the road. A big, boisterous, vocal crowd can really make a huge difference in these games. I don't think we'll lose a home game this year if we can get > 1,000 fans in AA.

Absolutley right on JFH!!

The 1,667 we had for Miami was good but unfortuanly that crowd was mainly made up of jr high school girls that sat on their duffs most of the time. We need get good showing BGSU students out there this Sat for WMU. They appear to have a pretty potent offense, scoring in the high 80's in their last game. Have we even hit 80 yet this year? We use to all the time last year.

It's a CONSPIRACY I tell you! A conspiracy!
Everyone knows that Coach Poole does not want to part with the free fries coupons. Therefore she tells the ladies to just make it look good when we get up to around 78 or more and she'll do something special for them.
Where are you Oliver Stone when we need you to prove this conspiracy!!!!
BTW Coach Poole - Thanks for the tickets last Saturday. My prospective transfer student from New Jersey had a great time at the game (and also enjoyed using falconfan1's hockey tickets as well)

i think we need to dig deeper. i'm not sure that brandi is able to pull this off on her own. the fry guys are almost certainly involved.
