This may be something you may want to tell the directors to tell the drivers...
While I now live in Williamsburg Va. I moved here from Nashville TN. As of five months ago...there is no clean route through Nashville TN. I'm sure you will go through there South I-65...the whole frickin' city is under construction...I am not kidding. The worst part is just north of the city...it may take 45 minutes to an hour to get through Nashville...just thought you may want to pass the news on....
Have a great time, and an even better performance!!!
GO BG!!!
And even though you may not know what this means...
BUFFO LOVES THE BG MARCHING BAND!!!
Warning for Drivers!!!
Warning for Drivers!!!
I may not be alumni...but I shall always be BUFFO!!!

"Buffo95" it's good to see you posting again
Buffo, in the year in question, DID go too far with a joke, however...
was it so far that the organization itself should be completely and permanently disbanded?
"The powers that be" were looking for a reason to get rid of Buffo and had an excuse, so they took advantage of the opportunity.
Honestly, I understand the issue to a point, but there would be easy ways to allow Buffo to continue while still making sure there is never a repeat of that incident. Since Buffo always liked to stay annonymous (cough, cough...ehem..) there could be a liaison between Buffo and the band faculty that could be responsible for handling potential issues. They would be obligated to report who the members of Buffo are in the event of a serious concern. The fact that they could be held accountable would make members think twice about their actions.
Maybe that would help, maybe not, but the point is, someone was waiting for a chance to disband them and wasn't even willing to consider any kind of compromise.

It's nice to see that BUFFO has not been forgotten. I have always thought that the time I spent under the mask was some of the greatest times I had at BG. Seeing Chief at home where he didn't have to be so politically correct was quite a thrill.
Able 1, i'll probably shoot ya an e-mail as the date gets closer, but Erin and I are looking at the middle of Feb. I think there is an alumni event around the Western Michigan hockey games that weekend. Always loved screaming "Beat a dead horse..." BTW, did you see Shreck 2? When the bartender asks donkey "Why the long face?", couldn't help but laugh thinking of Blair and Fletch.
As for getting rid of BUFFO. Can't help but think that his demise really started when Chief stepped down
However, there technically was a liason between the staff and BUFFO. It was always the President of KKPsi...of course it never hurt that there were usually 3 or 4 BUFFOs that were in KKPsi in any given year.
As for the candy....I still LOVE tootsie rolls and always will.
Sorry about the lack of posts...been busy with work, but I usually read over everything in the band, football, and hockey sections on a daily basis. Would also post more often if I lived closer and knew what was going on...hmmm....maybe BUFFO could do some poems on this site. Have to talk it over with other BUFFOs. We'll see....
Have fun in Mobile, and hope to meet some of you in February!!!

Grrrrrrrr.
I spoke with Chief at length regarding the Buffo incident at OhioGal's wedding reception.
What we had was an ISOLATED INCIDENT after which Buffo did apologize. Unfortunately, the current band adminstration saw this - somehow - as a pattern of behavior and delivered a fatal blow to a beloved institution within the band community.
I believe this was simply an excuse to get rid of something which was viewed as "inconvenient" to the band administration.
LONG LIVE BUFFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
