It's the Journey... wrote:Mike, how many times have you known an audible majority of the crowd to break out into the "Hey Song" without prompting? The fans are not official representatives of BGSU because the University does not sponsor them. The College of Musical Arts does sponsor the Falcon Marching Band, making it an official representative of BGSU.
You misunderstood what I meant. Groups of fans are the ones who do yell out the things like we're going to kick... and hey you suck. Yes the band starts the songs, but it's the fans who start the cheers thank you very much. And I do feel that students are official reps of this university. We are what this university is. Without us, there would be no BGSU.

I am going with.....I know I have said worse than 'you suck' and I know I have been wrongfully accused of saying worse than 'you suck' (see also Womens Toledo game when Elsasser wanted to kick me out cause the freakin ref heard somebody say something so they blamed the kid with the paint). I don't know if any of you (except Mike) have been to many other places, but we look like angels compared to most of them (see also Northern Illinois Correctional Facility). I am not trying to condone it...but last time I checked one of the first thing a child does when it enters the world is suck!!!! Whats so wrong with that!

Hey! I was there too! In fact, I was the one that the lady came up to me at a hockey game and started yelling in my face. I was like... who the heck are you, and why the heck do you care what song the band plays?? I told her to take it up with the AD, since the A-band plays whatever the heck we want to play.

P.S. Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but I just discovered the Ay-Zig page... totally cool! I've wanted to come back to BG ever since I left! I'm sure no one even remembers me though.. :-(

I think I remember you. Red hair, drummer, I believe there's a shot of you playing with fire on the highlight video. This is Chris Chomic. I was a freshman euphonium in 2001. Glad to hear from you!

I forgot about playing with fire!! Good ol' (pyros) twirlers, always good for some wholesome (burning things) fun....

I think I remember you too, though I was overwhelmed with how many people there were to learn! I'd've done much better had I been able to stick around a 2nd year...
