Yeah, this one's got cables fastened to poles buried six feet or more in the ground. It's not going anywhere. It's a permanent fixture.

The old tower is dead. It rusted clear through and the poles broke apart when they took it down a couple weeks ago.

You call the pasture out behind lot 12 "The Marching Band Field" I (and the old people like me) call it The Grinder.

Different Era. Different terminology. Although it's been called The Grinder since the time the practice field was where the Student Rec center currently sits.

Change in directors. Not saying that it's good or bad - it just is.

By the way, LOVE the avatar!

Rightupinthere;

Last line:
TBS pledge fulfilling initiation requirement of interviewing drum major: "Do you enjoy oral sex?"
Me: "I do.....but it's the phone bills I hate."

Thank you. Outside of the "Kelly" nee Band Room there was a round table. Called, "The Round Table." There were a couple of benches and that was a VERY popular gathering spot for all bandos. I was being interviewed at about 3:30 so there were a LOT of folks there. The question took me aback so I answered it "yes"......well, because it was my honest answer. However, when I said "yes" everyone just sort of stopped their conversation and seemingly focused their attention on me.
I delivered the extra spot and hillarity ensued. It was the hay-day of the 900 sex numbers which were popping up everywhere (early 90's) so my response was quite topical.
