just sayin.....screwin over drumline AGAIN ....last year.....i am not alowed to be "bass section leader" b/c i marched drum corps and could not skip DCI finals to come to a meeting....come on hayward...are you serious....and this year with no tenor section leader.... and no official section leader....and a very poor reasoning for doing so "sander is going to be here all the time, we dont need a section leader" for the record....sander writes horrable drumline parts that rarly make since for whats going on in the band..... thats bull crap.....center snare equals section leader...thats the nature of the beast...except it hayward....(yea timmy) congrats to everyone that got section leader positions.....please make sure the trumpets dont blow everyone else out of the water....please... i want to hear the whole band, not just the trumpets....
GO TOM FISHER!!!! make a brotha proud

Dear Thatguy,
Do not question the authority of the Falcon Marching Band. We are on a five year track to make the Falcon Marching Band the most supreme entity since the roman empire, and to this point are succeeding! Your personal request to miss one meeting is clearly a detriment to the band, and shows absolute disrespect to me, and the rest of my alteregos! You and all other dissenters will be dealt with harshly, as talent comes second to submissiveness!
Thank you,
Management
PS this is how I imagine the response to be!!!

Interesting decision to split the altos and tenors into different sections, apparently. Makes sense.
And none of the previous trombone leadership is leadership for next year. Again, interesting. Maybe the person I'm thinking of in particular didn't audition after all. I'm sure Lewis will do a good job, in any case.
(ETA- It's about time we had a flicc as drum major! I'm so proud of my little!

)

For the record, there were only 3 people that tried out for trombone leadership, and none of them were previously in a leadership position. And I agree, Lewis will do a good job.

i'm pretty sure that the twirler section leader went to my high school, although she would've been in the eighth grade when i graduated.

Better toughen her up before I get into town.

by It's the Journey...
Are we really going to have that few trombones this year that there is not a need for a squad leader in addition to a section leader? Oh for the days...

I've got serious issues with that split for a few reasons, the least of which is that my little (who plays tenor) is now the alto squad leader. Please don't get me started.
As an alumni, which is essentially what I am at this point (being as there are only 26 days until graduation), I am less than pleased.

Excuse me. Get the sheep skin THEN you may become a card carrying member of the Fraternal Order of Arrogant Alumni.
Sheesh. Cart - horse. Don't get them messed up.

I do not wish to join the arrogant chapter. Perhaps simply the card-carrying one?
