Former BGSU band member Don Bruns (clarinet, circa 1968) will be signing his new novel "South Beach Shakedown" at the BG Wood County Library at 7 tonight. Don also has a newly released compilation of mysteries written by author musicians. Each short story is tied to a song by the author and the author's perform the songs on the accompanying CD. Don is an entertaining guy who, as a musician, appeared with the likes of Ricky Nelson, Judas Priest (yeah, I know), Jim Stafford and others. Don's other two books, "Jamaica Blue" and Barbados Heat" are also available on Amazon, etc.

Sounds great. I'll have to pick up his books.

Just as aside, you realize that "clarinet" and "musician" are mutually exclusive, yes?
