I for one hope they dont' do this again next year for senior night. JHS band are okay maybe for the 1st exhibition game of the year but not the last home game for senior night. I didn't realize how much a good band helps the mood of the crowd and such. You guys have my respect for sure. The band has sounded great all year. Keep it up!

No Band for Ladies Senior Night-What Happened???
I really , really missed you guy at the Lady Falcon senior night last Wed. They instead put apparently the BGJHS band up there and it was awfull.
Nothing against the youngsters but they don't deserve to be the band we get at the last home game for the lady falcons. It just felt weird that night, the whole feel of the night seemed rather off with out your A-band presence.

This was coverend in another thread but there was a concert on Wednesday night as well. That would have made it impossible for the game and be playing on stage. And before anyone complains about scheduling, the College of Musical Arts puts their schedules out WAY before the athletic department does. It just didn't work out this time.

Wow, it WAS a HS band? That makes it seem even worse. I thought for sure that had to be a JHS band. So since when is the Athletic band tied to the Musical Arts program? I'm a novice here.jg4242 wrote:Also, it was NOT the BGJHS band. It was the Eastwood HS pep band. They sounded ok, but I only stayed for the ceremony (I had to play at the concert, too...)

not sure, but i believe we get some funding from the athletic dept for Athletic band. I believe the athletic dept pays half of the price of our shirts. I dunno if anything else.falconboy wrote:Wow, it WAS a HS band? That makes it seem even worse. I thought for sure that had to be a JHS band. Scheduling for the concerts that night was done over a year ago. It was a fluke that the women's game coicided. There was nothing the band department could have done.
That said, it's nice that Eastwood came out (on their own with no transportation other than themselves and/or their parents) to give some pep to the falcons! We should appreciate their effort. Without them, there would have been NO band.

I wouldve taken an Alumni Band over what we had there that night 100 times over.Ohiogal wrote:Scheduling for the concerts that night was done over a year ago. It was a fluke that the women's game coicided. There was nothing the band department could have done.

The idea was a long time ago. I've wanted to make some avatars of the seniors for a long time but never got around to making any for Ali , Megan , Carin or Flynn. I lost my Photoshop CS program from a hd crash , but have only recently gotten it back. The Niz wrote:Falconboy, I was just wondering where exactly it was that you came up with the idea for that avatar?
