So I'm curious to know with the 2007 football schedule out, for our "big" trip, what game does everyone want the FMB to attend?

I think going to Miami would be "brilliant"

I vote Michigan State because of the potential TV coverage. BC is way to far, and why bother going to Kent. I would try to save some money in the budget for a possible high school performance and trip to Miami depending on how the team is doing. I like the big break for your guys because it may give some Fridays off. Also this schedule is set up well for the FMB to host a marching band competition/fundraiser on one of the weeks on that three week stretch when the team is away. This is a great opportunity to show off BG and make some money for the FMB.

I'm sure this would be a wonderful idea, but for one reason or another I just don't see it being able to happen. But I've been proven wrong before. Maybe if it's brought up with the right people at the right time it would happen.

It would be wonderful having the Doyt be turfed, and that would make a festival/competition a little more possible. Plus when it comes to the Toledo game on the Friday after Turkey day, it won't look like total shite.
By the way...My thought of where the FMB should go is either Minnesota or Michigan State. My thought though is that if it isn't a conference game it'll be Michigan State due to distance as well as it's Big 10. We'll see come August. By the way, any of you real hard core band geeks have a countdown of when Vets return?

Miami's and BG's music departments have historically been very close. If I were a betting man, Miami would be my pick.

:smt038 LOL!!!

My heart/vote goes to Minnesota because I'd love to be able to see the FMB next season. However, if I had to guess what will actually happen, I'd guess Miami or MSU.

I went with BC because I knew no one else would, and I could drive there. :)

as much as I'd LOVE to go to BC, i feel like we'll either go to MSU or Miami. We've been to Miami before *as a pep band* so i have a good feeling we'll go to MSU...cuz Minnesota is prolly too far and would cost too much $$, as fun as it would be to go there or Boston.

Id love to go to Michigan. It would be a neat experience and also press coverage.
But i think it would be better to goto Miami for a few reasons:
1.Good possibility of HS aprearence, meaning recruiting, and this is also a big priotiy on Dr. Hayward's list, getiing us out to HSers
2. Localish
3. MAC team, and our support could mean a better chance at the MAC title

If I was still in the band, I'd want to go to either Minnesota or Boston. Those both seem like they would cool trips (I think Boston would be cool, but I also enjoy 18th century American History).

As a fan, I would love to see ya'll march at MSU. That's the game I have a good chance at going to, plus I also think the FMB would sound fantastic in that stadium. Field turf, lots of concrete, an upper bowl, it's a marching band's wet dream. [drool\]

You guys could do what we did in the 2000 season and go to MSU AND Miami. Different Michigan team, but same idea. We also did a high school show separate from any BG game. That was a crazy ass season- 3 trips and one that got canceled at the last minute because of rain.

Just be glad that there is no longer any chance of going to Marshall!
