Sh!t Berry Trees

Thank goodness they are not bearing any 'fruit' this year.
This isn't quite band related, but sort of. The new Fallen Timbers shooping center off of Rt. 24 just opened this past week and since they have my girlfriend's favorite restaraunt, P.F. Chang's, we had to pay them a visit. With an hour and a half wait for a table we decided to parouse the new outdoor mall while we waited. We could not believe our eyes when we found the FMB's very own sh!t berry trees lining all of the streets of the shopping center. About every 15 feet or so along every street is one of the trees. Boy are they in for a terrible suprise next year when these trees bear their tainted fruits.

I had my first P.F. Chang's experience last weekend there. Did NOT like it... awful dining experience, from the wait, to the service, to the food... just not good. I know a lot of people love it, but damn... I'm not going back.
What are the Sh!t Berry Trees?

Sh!tberry trees are gingko trees (I think the female ones) whose fruit reek of feces. There's one stragecally located between the cma and the band field, in the highest-traffic patch of grass on campus. The stench gets tracked into the cma during the fall to fester, and the berries retain their potency for weeks.

The wait was pretty terrible, about an hour and a half as I mentioned before, and our waitress wasn't the greatest but I wasn't going to complain since there was about a billion people there.
Our food was awesome, We had Chang's spicy chicken and Tam's Noodles. Maybe you just didn't order the right thing. What I really can't wait for is the Granite city place right next door to open.

It's nice for the FMB to not have to worry about shitberries this year, but they still have been rather active in other areas of campus, like that one right outside of Moseley. Believe me, it really sucks having my office in University Hall and having to encounter these lovely creations on my way to work ...

I always thought it would be a great service project for KKPsi and TBS to get rid of that stupid tree...
Of course there are probably outside forces that would keep that from happening, but still, getting rid of that tree would be great.

You can't just uproot a tree anywhere on this campus. And with all the Ash trees getting cut down, leaving all the rest of the trees is important.
There are sh!t berries in other places around campus, too. It's not just the music students who have to deal with it. I love Ginko trees though (minus the poo berries)...they have neat looking leaves!

We've got a GC Brewery out in Kansas City, and it is quite good. The beers are much better than average and reasonably priced, and the food is great too. Word of advice though, stay away from the Caesar salad. I'm a Caesar afficianado, and these were Sub-Par. Now, if you ever find an "Old Chicago" restraunt, they have a great Caesar.

I know the sisters have discussed raking up the berries for service. At least if we did that, they'd pose less of a threat to our noses.

I may have missed something, but I don't remember any tree bearing stinky fruit in my day.
Maybe we just blamed the smell on Poe Ditch.
