In our defense we don't play to the west stands either. We play to the south if anything. Our Drum majors stand on ladders and we watch them so we usually don't face one way or the other with any consistency. But I'm sure that this will be read by the right people and worked on fixingfactman wrote:I sure wish the FMB would play at least one song for the east stands. That isn't the VISITING side, just the side that a few visiting fans sit!!

I believe they were referring to half-time...not when we were in the standsrealmenskip wrote:In our defense we don't play to the west stands either. We play to the south if anything. How we suppose to put the horns to the box then? lol THat would be a cool effect, the entire band turning on one beat and flashing theboxStrouse wrote:I believe they were referring to half-time...not when we were in the standsrealmenskip wrote:In our defense we don't play to the west stands either. Um...he isn't saying play the entire show to the east stands...besides there's a "box" on the east side...it's just not the press box. Besides at least my first two years (I think) at least for homecoming we had played one song to the "visitors" standsrealmenskip wrote:How we suppose to put the horns to the box then? lol THat would be a cool effect, the entire band turning on one beat and flashing theboxStrouse wrote:I believe they were referring to half-time...not when we were in the standsrealmenskip wrote:In our defense we don't play to the west stands either. As far as I can tell, so long as we can't consistently get more people in the East stands there probably won't be songs played in that direction. I wish we would play the middle song in every show to the east side, I always feel jipped when I go to away games and don't get to hear the band play to my side.

I think the tradition of playing the middle song to the visiting side ended around the same time as the tradition of playing the visiting team's fight song in pregame.
If you sit on the visitor's side for the game, and you want to hear the band at halftime, then walk around to the other side of the stadium and listen while there are empty seats from people going to the restroom and the concession stand.

Yes, I did. It was only broken when I was marching. It kept slipping off of my lip. I had to stand still to make it "go."The Niz wrote:Rightupinthere wrote:Great job FMB!

I didn't see any Tootsie Rolls either... however, there was a certain name spray painted on the Psi rocks...realmenskip wrote: Though I am disappointed, there were no tootsie rolls passed out this year, isn't that a tradition?
