So, the 110 was not at the OU game yesterday... apparently they've had budget issues this year and their president would not pay to send them to Cleveland... CMU is here, they're in the same hotel with us. I met a few of them at breakfast.

On a random note, Buffalo plays a really sub-par arrangement of "Get it On" compared to ours. If we end up playing them it be kinda fun to show off :-D

I did not miss the most obnoxious band in the MAC.
Our kids sounded great.

on a side note, I'm glad CMU played all of the Bon Jovi songs so we didn't have to haha...

anybody else notice that they really only had one trumpet and the rest kind of didn't play at all

Thriller was pretty cool though

I just wanted to say thanks to the band. You really added to the atmosphere at all of the tournament games.

Indiana will be bringing a band to Anderson for the WNIT game on Thursday for those of you interested in hearing another good college band play!

Do you have any idea where they will be seated? I presume they may be right beside the BGSU athletic band??

Hmm... interesting. I can't recall a visiting band at AA before.

For the benefit of others, since I told you on the phone today...last year, Dayton brought their band to AA for the NIT game. They were placed next to our band in the South end bleachers, and it seemed to work out pretty well. Thinking about it today, I seem to remember some good-natured banter between the two bands, which was fun to watch during the slow spots in the game. I also remember Dayton's band having a ridiculous number of hats.

I think we played a song together too though I can't remember what it was... there was a good natured banter going back and forth as well. it was a fun time. they had a lot of good energy and I presume that at the Dayton Arena they're pretty entertaining.
And yeah, they did have a whole bunch of hats which they switched at nearly every media timeout

now that I think about it, the song we played together might have been "Hey Baby!"

anybody care to confirm or reject that fact? I can't be sure but that rings a bell for some reason...

how ironic that after I mention that IU's band played "Hey Baby!" (and not very well)
