Thriller Rocked!

Post by OrangeSocksFalcon »

Fantastic end of the half time show with the high school bands! Normally the combined band numbers especially with high school bands are so lame but the dancing really knocked it out of the stadium. Incredible! And then to end it with all the bands playing the Fight Song AND Ay Zig was HUGE!! Biggest reaction from the crowd the whole game was definitely half time.

On a side note: please pass along to the band powers that be to stop having the band run off the field after half time with out playing the fight song. The half time of first game was a huge let down. I realize that some times there are time constraints but half of the band was already off the field after that show. If there is not time just run thru Ay Zig once, it really pumps up the crowd and starts off the 2nd half with some energy.

See you at Homecoming!

I bet Orange Socks is one of the founders of said tradition.

But that's just a hunch.

I have met Caroline a few times. I met the actual young lady who got caught last year but cannot for the life of me recall her name.

If it is either of you, or anyone else affiliated, let me know. This year's section leader would really like it if as many alumni as possible could turn out for breakfast!

Thanks for posting the videos. Did anyone get video from the East side? I was on the west side, way at the top. The BGHS band was facing the other side!! I'd love to see video of them!!

WELL DONE FMB and all of the High School bands who were there! It was an awesome show and the HS kids had a great time!! Wonder how many of them will be future FMB members because of this experience?

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yes, it is me the Tone that got the B in band that started the orange socks tradition! I will be at Homecoming Saturday, unless it rains, I don't do rain. Was there last year and met some "peoples" but don't remember your names as well. I think it was after tailgating all afternoon. Karoline is an orange sock wearer but was not at BG the year we ran out of black socks and had to wear orange to the Homecoming parade. Way too many performances that week, not enough clean black socks or time to do laundry and the rest is history:) It was the last playing of the Fight Song and the high step marking time that did us in. We honestly did NOT do it to rebel. The uniform Nazi (God rest her soul) was standing right next to us checking the hem on our trousers. But Chief did take pity on our souls and our GPAs and rescinded the B to an A with a stern warning.

But thanks for calling me a young lady!!! So nice after the birthday I celebrated this month:(
