Amazing comments. Wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment. Yes, I'm there because I love band and love playing, but I'm there more because of the support it gives our teams.

Dr. Jackson was AWESOME at directing the basketball band. The students in the band then fed off of his energy, enthusiasm and direction which literally moved the masses in the stands. Opposing players and coaches HATED Anderson Arena because they couldn't hear themselves think.

He and I had our disagreements [I was me, after all], but there has been no better single driver of supporting the tradition which is "The House That Roars."

Not too bad for a Tarheels fan. [ducking]
