Where can I buy valve oil for my trumpet in Bowling Green? I used to go to the little ole music shop but I don't think that's around anymore...

Kroger.

Sold under the brand called Crisco.

What happened to the Lil' Ole Ripoff Shop? When did they go under?

I got some blue juice at the little music shop right at the eastern end of the downtown block of Wooster. I don't even know the name of it. It's across from like...Madhatter? Is Madhatter still there?? Geez... Feeling antiquated.

I think that store on Wooster is just called Bowling Green Music or something generic like that. It is definitely still there. That is where I have gone to get valve oil since I started as a student at BG.

That sounds about right. Last time I was in there, they had a sitar. Damn... I wants me a sitar!

Is BG Music and Sound on Wooster by BW3? I know there was a music shop by Brewsters but don't know if that's still there.... I think that was the Little Ole Music shop for a while?

There is a music store across the parking lot from BW-3.

Or just go to the store one or two doors down from my favorite cigar shop on near BW-3.

Its either next to or a few down from Cosmo's Coffee Shop on Wooster St. near the corner of Wooster and Main.

BG Music + Sound is the only place to buy that stuff in town, and they have very little. Rettig's on Airport in Toledo is your best bet inside 30 minutes from BG.

L.O.M.S. went out of business several years ago. There is now an empty storefront where they used to be (by Cla-zel).

I beg to differ, as I just got my flute fixed there a couple months ago! The guy who owns LOMS now just runs it out of his own home. I don't know if he carries valve oil and similar stuff; he may just do repairs.

I stand corrected! That could come in handy next time I need a quick repair.

He's ran it out of his home ever since I've been at BG so I'm thinking it's been a long while. His name, I believe, is Mike Jones, and he does an excellent job. He fixes all kinds of instruments as he's fixed my oboe twice in the 4 years I've been here.

I've been snowed in the past two days (just had my driveway plowed out at 6:00 on Thursday night). Therefore, if I don't make it to get valve oil, will someone have some I can borrow for Sunday's Alumni Athetic Band????

I always carry valve oil with my bass. ;-) I'll try to remember to bring some anyhow...
