FMB new director

Post by factman »

Briggs: At BG, former OSU director Jon Waters ready to lead the Best Damn Band in the ... MAC?

I’ve alwayays thought we had a good marching band, musically very sound, good numbers, etc., but really look forward to them having more pizazz, and showiness (are those even words?)

……..BUT………..now is really the time to move the FMB back to the stands in front of the Sebo Center!

I’m very excited about this hire. I’m hoping they’re willing to make the position something that can be tenured and he’ll stick around more than just a few years.

Absolutely move the band back to the end zone. It looks better on TV and in person, it sounds better and it looks like the band is a priority on game day not an after thought. Want to fill the east side of the stadium - market the event (not just the game) and sell tickets at market value.

I’m really looking forward to see how this plays out. My only complaint about the band in the past was some of the music didn’t fit the event crowd. Think pop culture not classical for this crowd. That said BG already had a great band now people will know it.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
