So yea, just out of curiosity, for those fellow FMB members, how much longer do we have to wait until band camp '05?!?!? :partyman:
I don't know about the rest of you, but when it's not marching season (i.e. fall) I get restless...I can't wait!! (I'm sure some of you not only have days, but I'm sure hours as well!! Maybe even minutes! There are some of you out there!!)
:supz: rock on!!

Not anymore!! But still, counting down until next year's fundamentals week is rather pointless for myself anyways :)

For those looking for a count down ticker, I found a site that will allow you to build your own for use as a signature on message boards. The website is tickerfactory.com. Here's the one I came up with for the days the vets come back.

Enjoy.

Do any of you lovable BGBand people know if your Band will be coming to Yager, if the BG-Miami game is in Oxford? I would LOVE that. I have alot of Friends who are BG alums. Time to trot out the OLD rivalries. Well, from what I hear it wasn't really a rivalry, when they were in school. Just wondering. I would like to see another Band in Yager. Gets kinda lonesome, but the opposing teams LOVE us.  Hope to see you guys next year, either way!

It'd be fun, but I don't know that Doc H has figured out where we're going this coming year. What with the hectic-ness of the A-band going to Seattle last week, and leadership auditions next week, I doubt it's been decided.

Edit: Oh yeah, and welcome to the only athletic site I know of with a band forum. :D

Welcome MiamiBando.

I remember going to Oxford in 1990. It was the game that broke your long winless streak. It was and ugly end to what was a delightful trip. The bands tied (as was normally the case with MU and BG).

God, how I hate Miami.

Well, it isn't like they can allow Miami to beat BG in EVERYTHING, now is it. Where would the fun be in that. My question is, where would the band SIT in the new Yager, which BTW is gonna be the BEST stadium in the MAC next year. No offense. Would they sit in the North Endzone? I hope the MUMB keeps the 50 behnd the enemy line... I do so LOVE yelling at the coaches, players, and water people. Except when they try to come into the stands. CRAZY KENTERS!!!!!

Only a win over OU, Marshall, UC, or Ohio A&M would have been a better way to break a winless skid....

You guys sit on the fifty??

I miss having seats on the side, but the endzone is really the best place for the band because then everyone can hear us. I'll be happier with it once they put real stands in the endzone so we don't have to send the truck crew under the bleachers every five minutes because "I dropped my hat!" "I dropped a water bottle!" "My flip folder fell!"

And maybe they'll put up a net this year. No more dented mellophones. (Dang, that was funny though. )

Why did you have to bring THAT back up?? Good thing you ducked that goal post or you might not BE here to bring that up, Mark!

I went to Miami in 1988, came to BG in 1989, made my "triumphant return" to Oxford as a member of the FMB in 1990 and then THAT happened...

Still, I'll take an SDS pizza with "power sauce" any day....
